    Good idea, not too durable

    • Written by from Buenos Aires

I was impressed by this case at the beginning, but after 3 months of use, the top border both on the right and left corner were scratched at first, and then broken. This means that now my iphone 4S gets hooked on almost any object.

    Purple, not black

    • Written by from Meredith

The case is great, I love it and I love the snap-case concept. Great case... However, there are two colors, black and white. I ordered my case in black, and when I recieved the case it was more purple than black. When I put it on my phone, the apple sign on the back of my iPhone looks purple in the light. So I would say you have an option as white and purple. NOT black and purple. Great case though.

    Thin Case

    • Written by from los gatos

The case is a great shape, it barely adds any thickness to the perfectly sized phone. My big issue with the case is durability. There is a very thin piece of plastic near the volume controls that is quite weak. I had to super glue it back once it snapped. Now my case looks a little ratty with the glue. I wish Incase would reenforce the thin segments of plastic or use a higher quality material. I won't be buying this case again.

    Great Look, Will Crack

    • Written by from Cincinnati

I am on my second snap case for the iPhone 4 and it has cracked, yet again, at the top. I don't care what anyone says... whatever you do with your iPhone, this case will crack. However, if they could only make it more durable, this case would be the best I have found, because the look and feel of it is second to none.

    Great Design, Poor Durability

    • Written by from walnut creek

In my opinion, this is one of the better looking cases for the Iphone 4/4s. The feel is nice and it has just enough lip on the front to protect the screen if you set the phone face down. The only problem I have with this case is that all four corners have developed cracks (and some chips) within 6 months (I have never taken the case off during that time). Considering the price of the case, I was expecting greater durability. If you want a minimalist case and don't mind replacing it every 6 months, this is the case for you.

    Nice while it lasted... Sorta.

    • Written by from Bristol

After my friend constantly recommended the incase I decided to drop the $35 the same day I bought my phone. It is very sleek. Feels great. Light. Makes sliding the phone into your pocket much easier and protects against scratches.
Well, a few months after owning the case I noticed small cracks on the corner. That didn't bother me... Until more appeared. All corners were now cracked. Wait. Now the camera lense area of the case now has a crack and the volume control section is so cracked it is almost to the point of breaking apart. I contacted incase and got a replacement case. No problem. That has been a few months ago and it is repeating all over again. I can't believe this case costs $35 for how short-lived it is. Needless to say my friend who recommended this case is now using a different case and as will I very soon.

    Nice Design, Poor Manufacturing

    • Written by from NAPERVILLE

I purchased this case in November of 2011. It was exactly the type of minimalist case I was looking for. All was well until, upon further inspection last month, I noticed two cracks in the radii of the upper corners of the case. Very strange, as the phone always resides in the case and has never, ever been abused. It would appear that the corner case tolerances are too tight, and when the phone is inserted, the stress over time is enough to crack the case in these locations.

I contacted Incase and just received my replacement. However, I have asked them twice, by email, if this replacement case incorporates any design refinements since the purchase of my original Snap Case. They have not responded to my requests.

Only lasts for approximately 2-3 weeks

    • Written by from Arlington

I have now owned two of these cases and while they look great and are very sleek, the two top corners consistently break without even dropping the phone. Once the corner breaks the entire case seems weaker so I would suggest looking for something else, particularly given the price.

    breaks !

    • Written by from Maasmechelen

I dropt my iPhone from less than 1,5 feet and the the upper left and right corners are broken. I think that shouldn't happen, especially from incase.

other than that, the case feels nice, and protected my iPhone from scratches.

    Sleek Design, Poor Quality.

    • Written by from Kansas City

I got this case about 4 months ago and it started developing stress cracks on all for corners. I've never dropped my phone, so I was a bit surprised. I love its sleek design, but for some reason it doesn't hold up to regular use very well.

While I was waiting for my replacement, I purchased the Apple bumper and I really loved it. It complements the iPhone's sleek design without adding much bulkiness.

So, if your like me and you take care of your phone pretty well, get the Apple bumper and a screen protector. It will protect your phone while keeping its minimal design.

    Sleek, but cracks easily

    • Written by from San Marcos

I've had my phone for about 2 months now and this was my first case. I haven't dropped it and I've taken great care of it, but I've gotten 2 cracks already. One on the top left corner and another right above the camera.
I do like that it's sleek and sharp looking, but it's not worth it IMO.

Case already cracked and didn't even drop it

    • Written by from San Francisco

The plastic feels really nice, and it's very slim, but at the top of the phone, it's cracked in both corners. I haven't even dropped it once. A good buddy just got hers and has the exact same problem. My guess is weak plastic. Wish I could get a refund or improved version, but past the 30 day deadline. Bummer.

    Broke After 6 Months

It's a very sleek and cool case, but it broke above the volume buttons. Incase is replacing it, but it's a hassle.

    NO!

    • Written by from Memphis

Those who have written a review saying that it is great as long as you don't drop it are not being realistic. That's the point of having a case. Not saying you should just go around throwing your phone but you should feel confident that your phone will not be damaged if it does fall. The case has a great look but the protection rating is low. If this case was about $15 then you would get what you are paying for but this is priced too high for what it's worth. I've had mine since September and it has run it's course (and I am not rough on phones).

    Nice and minimalistic but fragile...

    • Written by from Plainfield

I got the frost (non-smoky/translucent) case for my white iPhone 4S. I loved it in the beginning because I thought it preserved the simplistic beauty of the iPhone and it had a rubbery texture that made it grip-friendly, but it became a little yellow-ish within the course of the first month when I don't put it through much wear and tear. I'm one of those that likes to keep my phone as clean as I can. Plus, the first time I tried to switch the case to something else (because the yellowing bothered me), the case broke right between the edge and the camera lense opening, even though I was careful. So, it's not that durable, to boot.

Good design but not worth it

Great design compared to others. It does crack at the corners. Way too expensive 35 bucks for a 10 cent piece of thin plastic.

    Cracks easily

    • Written by from Bethel Park

Have had it less than a year. Yet there are cracked on several corners. Also on the thinnest piece near the camera openings broken. What a waste of money…$35 for a thin piece of plastic. You'd think it would last longer. Especially since it's never been dropped. And is either in my pocket or on a desk/car seat.

    Cracking after only 3 weeks.

    • Written by from South Bend

I initially loved this case because of the glossy white finish and slim profile. It barely adds any size to the phone, keeping it nice and sleek. However, after only three weeks of light use, all four corners are cracking. Would not recommend.

I love the feel of this case but after removing it only twice in order to clean the sides of my phone the corners started to crack and shortly afterwards, broke off. Pretty disappointing when considering the cost.
