    Download App for Setup!

    • Written by from Springfield

I spent the better part of this afternoon trying to reconnect my Zeppelin Air to a new wireless network. I finally figured out to (1) go to Bowers & Wilkins website and download the latest firmware installer, to make sure that all firmware is up to date (requires USB connection to computer), and then (2) download the Bowers & Wilkins Control App from the App store (free download for iOS or Android). The app will walk you through the setup process for wireless connection, and it worked flawlessly. Much, much easier than connecting to the computer via Ethernet, etc. Save your afternoon! Get the App!

    Simply Amazing!

    • Written by from New York

This is one of the best sound system for Apple devices you can get on the market! It is boldly designed and for sure more stylish than Bose's and has a better CP value than B&O's. The sound is also on the warm/neutral side so it isn't as gassy as the ones from Bose, absolutely audiophile compatible. After an update the setup only took less than a min to hook up, and I love how i can simply wake the speaker up with my iPad or Mac when the Wifi is on. Highly recommended!

    • Written by from vaudreuil

I have been running this speaker for a few days now and I'm super happy with it. The sound quality is surpurb.
Some say the setup is a little difficult but if you download the setup app from the app store it really is a breeze to set up.

Better than Bose...easy to use...very good sound and acoustic
    Connection ..easy.
Airplay...just get the newest version. It really works.
About the bass....easy to fix....from your device...the zeppelin plays what it is receiving, means...fix your tune not the player.
Cons...expensive.. but I think is worth it
I did browse this purchase more than 3 months...bose..samsung, sony, jbl..etc!
I hope I have a system for long time.

Very Impressed (and the setup isn't hard...)

    • Written by from McHenry

First of all, what is with all of the negative comments on the setup? I set it up on my macbook by downloading the app, opening it, selecting the zeppelin, and connecting it to my wifi. It literally took 2 min. and I haven't had an issue yet. The issues people are having are a result of poor network performance or user errors - nothing more.

Moving on, the sound quality is incredible, as expected from B&W. I owned the Z2 but returned because I wanted a higher performing unit, so I bought the A5. I exchanged it for the Zeppelin for the same reason. The sound quality is noticeably better from the A5 (which is still a great sounding speaker). I have not heard the A7, so I am not qualified to compare the two.

If you want a high quality speaker, this will not disappoint. It is worth the money.

    Best Ipod Dock Ever!!!

    • Written by from Woolloomooloo

The sound this piece of art produces is nothing i have ever heard before. This is a dock for an audiophile, like me. The sound is so clear and sharp . The sound also stays contained within a space. So if you live in apartment, like i do, you can listen to it without worrying if you are disturbing your neighbours. I recommend it to all!!

I have just invested the money and WOW!!! it blew my head off, how such an amazing sound can come out of such a small casing is mind baffleing

The WIFI worked well for me and easy....do not understand all the negative chat about it.
but there is a sound quility improvment when docked direct to the zeppelin.

Smashing product and worth all five stars no probs!

    Enjoy it

    Super Desgin N Super Sound

Once you listen to the Zeppelin Air, the other systems in your house sound a little hollow. Excellent sound, Only problem is occasionally the air play set up has to be configured again. Totally Recommended.

    Incredeble Sound i ever heard

    • Written by

The Zeppelin Air sounds terrific, with a muscular, cohesive sound that works hard to make the most of compressed music tracks. And the thing i most like is there is a option to connect pc or mac via wi-fi. :)

    Best speaker ever

    • Written by from Cambridge

We have the big Harman Kardon in the lounge, Yamaha upstairs and the Bose sound dock in the kitchen. The Zeppelin is noticeable the best sound and connection. Everybody in the family says so. The WIFI air play is a touch cumbersome to instal. But doable. The process has a strong PC touch to it. Once it works it is stronger and better than the Airport Express that I connected to both the Harman and the Yamaha. I use the Airport extreme 2.4 and 5 GHz as the main network maker and the two Expresses as "slaves". The new lightning connector does not bother me. There are ample convertors to charge the phone should need be.

    Advantages Of Zeppelin

    • Written by from Vashon

I have been waiting for Bowers & Wilkins to begin selling the A5 and A7 Airplay speakers. In the meantime I spent a lot of time comparing the specs to the Zeppelin Air that was released last year. In the end I bought the Zeppelin at the beginning of October 2012. It's a crackerjack and I think better value for money than the A7. That said the Zeppelin arrived without the latest software that I downloaded and then proceeded to walk through the steps with the BW App, but despite following the direction to the letter airplay failed to work. After a few emails to England, their support staff told me to reboot my router. Bingo!!

All in all I top notch product and must be one of the best airplay systems for the IPhone or IPod.

    Great speaker!!!!!

    • Written by from Gainesville

Makes your music on your iPhone sound great but you have to use decent music. "But my music sounds muddy on it"... yes your lime wire, free 40kbps will sound bad almost every speaker. I use a aux cord from my mac and some 96000kHz/24bit music. There is not a time I use this speaker and am not impressed. Plus if you don't like it, take it back and get your cash back. You have 30 days. Or if in the rare case you get a bad egg. Take it back and get a new one. No questions asked. The bass is not as punchy as the Bose of the same price. The quality of sound, however, is far better. So if you want to hear details in your music you never known where there. Go B&W. If you just want a speaker to play loud, thumping music for parties. Go Bose. Or, if you can, just go listen to them both.

    Incredible Product

    • Written by from Farnham

These speakers deliver amazing quality sound and the customer service is second to none. I recently had a small issue and upon return of the product, found that they had replaced damaged external parts and extended the warranty as a gesture of goodwill - unheard of from its more mainstream counterparts - Bose etc. If you are looking for fantastic acoustics delivered through a beautifully designed and built product, the Zeppelin Air is definitely for you!

    Audio nut!

    • Written by from Canoga Park

Just picked up my second pair of B & W's! My first was MM-1 for my desk top. Those were very impressive. I wanted wireless speakers that could move around such as the Zeppelin. After setting up Airport Extreme which was so easy, I took my Zeppelin into my garage and WOW! This woke up my neighbors! I accidently had the volume on max! I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for high end quality willing too pay the price. Well worth it! FYI... I own Bang and Olufsen home system. So I am picky! Enjoy!

    Many Products One Selection

    • Written by from Albuquerque

Hello all, hope this helps like minded individuals. I have a "sensitive" ear for audio and my tastes run from opera to heavy metal and RAP. So here is the meat-n-potatoes. After buying the B&W Zeppelin, MM-1, and Bose Companion20's I can say this. You don't go wrong with any of these. The MM-1 are wonderful near field GEMs (best if the only speaker you're going to purchase for near field). The 20's surprise and delight with rich full frequencies that create a tight image but sound a bit more artificial than the MM-1's. The Zeppelin is in a league of it's own. If money is not the object, it stacks up against the B&O and blows away "tube" offerings in realistic and impressive room filling sound. It performed much better at filling large open areas with sound that recreates a sound stage that in some ways defies this old audiophile. No issues with airplay for me. Long and the short, after trying 10 different models, I bought the 20's for my iMac and the Zeppelin for living area. At near fields (arms length) the 20's are comparable and half the price.

    Easy set up :-)

    • Written by from ATLANTA

    I love this speaker !!!!!!!!
I was, at first, turned off by all the nightmare stories I read about the "set up".
I got the application "Air play set up" from Itunes.
It made it so easy and fun to set up.
If you buy it make sure you use the application.
    NO ethernet cables.
    NO internet log in.
    Good luck !!!!!!!

    Categorically Stunning

I was very unsure about what to expect after reading other reviews. The set up was very easy and relatively fast. I have used AirPlay for numerous episodes of Suits as well as streaming songs, YouTube videos and other apps. The connection has never been interrupted and I have never had to reconnect it to the network. All of my skepticism has been erased and I am truly enamoured with these speakers. The sound quality is phenominal and the design is absolutely beautiful. Buy them! They're worth it!
