I have just invested the money and WOW!!! it blew my head off, how such an amazing sound can come out of such a small casing is mind baffleing

The WIFI worked well for me and easy....do not understand all the negative chat about it.
but there is a sound quility improvment when docked direct to the zeppelin.

Smashing product and worth all five stars no probs!

    Enjoy it

Once you listen to the Zeppelin Air, the other systems in your house sound a little hollow. Excellent sound, Only problem is occasionally the air play set up has to be configured again. Totally Recommended.

The Zeppelin Air sounds terrific, with a muscular, cohesive sound that works hard to make the most of compressed music tracks. And the thing i most like is there is a option to connect pc or mac via wi-fi. :)

    Best speaker ever

We have the big Harman Kardon in the lounge, Yamaha upstairs and the Bose sound dock in the kitchen. The Zeppelin is noticeable the best sound and connection. Everybody in the family says so. The WIFI air play is a touch cumbersome to instal. But doable. The process has a strong PC touch to it. Once it works it is stronger and better than the Airport Express that I connected to both the Harman and the Yamaha. I use the Airport extreme 2.4 and 5 GHz as the main network maker and the two Expresses as "slaves". The new lightning connector does not bother me. There are ample convertors to charge the phone should need be.

    Advantages Of Zeppelin

I have been waiting for Bowers & Wilkins to begin selling the A5 and A7 Airplay speakers. In the meantime I spent a lot of time comparing the specs to the Zeppelin Air that was released last year. In the end I bought the Zeppelin at the beginning of October 2012. It's a crackerjack and I think better value for money than the A7. That said the Zeppelin arrived without the latest software that I downloaded and then proceeded to walk through the steps with the BW App, but despite following the direction to the letter airplay failed to work. After a few emails to England, their support staff told me to reboot my router. Bingo!!

All in all I top notch product and must be one of the best airplay systems for the IPhone or IPod.

Makes your music on your iPhone sound great but you have to use decent music. "But my music sounds muddy on it"... yes your lime wire, free 40kbps will sound bad almost every speaker. I use a aux cord from my mac and some 96000kHz/24bit music. There is not a time I use this speaker and am not impressed. Plus if you don't like it, take it back and get your cash back. You have 30 days. Or if in the rare case you get a bad egg. Take it back and get a new one. No questions asked. The bass is not as punchy as the Bose of the same price. The quality of sound, however, is far better. So if you want to hear details in your music you never known where there. Go B&W. If you just want a speaker to play loud, thumping music for parties. Go Bose. Or, if you can, just go listen to them both.

These speakers deliver amazing quality sound and the customer service is second to none. I recently had a small issue and upon return of the product, found that they had replaced damaged external parts and extended the warranty as a gesture of goodwill - unheard of from its more mainstream counterparts - Bose etc. If you are looking for fantastic acoustics delivered through a beautifully designed and built product, the Zeppelin Air is definitely for you!

Just picked up my second pair of B & W's! My first was MM-1 for my desk top. Those were very impressive. I wanted wireless speakers that could move around such as the Zeppelin. After setting up Airport Extreme which was so easy, I took my Zeppelin into my garage and WOW! This woke up my neighbors! I accidently had the volume on max! I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for high end quality willing too pay the price. Well worth it! FYI... I own Bang and Olufsen home system. So I am picky! Enjoy!

Hello all, hope this helps like minded individuals. I have a "sensitive" ear for audio and my tastes run from opera to heavy metal and RAP. So here is the meat-n-potatoes. After buying the B&W Zeppelin, MM-1, and Bose Companion20's I can say this. You don't go wrong with any of these. The MM-1 are wonderful near field GEMs (best if the only speaker you're going to purchase for near field). The 20's surprise and delight with rich full frequencies that create a tight image but sound a bit more artificial than the MM-1's. The Zeppelin is in a league of it's own. If money is not the object, it stacks up against the B&O and blows away "tube" offerings in realistic and impressive room filling sound. It performed much better at filling large open areas with sound that recreates a sound stage that in some ways defies this old audiophile. No issues with airplay for me. Long and the short, after trying 10 different models, I bought the 20's for my iMac and the Zeppelin for living area. At near fields (arms length) the 20's are comparable and half the price.

I have the speaker for about 2 months now and really love it. The setup was not as hard as I imagined, and the airplay works great. Also got a digital cable to connect TV to the speaker. The sound is really truely amzing!!! I love it.

    I love this speaker !!!!!!!!
I was, at first, turned off by all the nightmare stories I read about the "set up".
I got the application "Air play set up" from Itunes.
It made it so easy and fun to set up.
If you buy it make sure you use the application.
    NO ethernet cables.
    NO internet log in.
    Good luck !!!!!!!

I was very unsure about what to expect after reading other reviews. The set up was very easy and relatively fast. I have used AirPlay for numerous episodes of Suits as well as streaming songs, YouTube videos and other apps. The connection has never been interrupted and I have never had to reconnect it to the network. All of my skepticism has been erased and I am truly enamoured with these speakers. The sound quality is phenominal and the design is absolutely beautiful. Buy them! They're worth it!

This speaker/docking system is the best on the market for it's intended use. It does not replace a larger system for large rooms, but for home or small room use - you simply cannot purchase a better unit. I would recommend multiple units to effectively fill larger rooms, which B&W supports with their software enhancements to sync multiple units together.

The outages that other people complain about has nothing to do with the B&W unit, but rather their WiFi systems. People using multi-channel WiFi will not experience sound interference. Alternatively, one can dock their unit onto the unit, which by=passes the WiFi airplay, and plays directly to the system.

Sound is clear and bass is smooth and punchy.

I have had my Zeppelin for 6 months. I truly believe that there are now many great sound systems in the Zeppelin category. However, this system is just a step ahead. No one can argue with the sound of any B&W speaker. True audiophile sound and absolutely beautiful design. Check it out, well worth it!

    Amazing Sound and Looks Fantastic

Just picked this up today. The product itself has some good weight and looks gorgeous alone on a shelf. AirPlay setup can be very easy, B&W have created an app which can be found in the app store and all the setup can be done from your iDevice took no more than 10 minutes.
When your device is sitting on the dock the sound is crystal clear with awesome bass.
AirPlay takes 2-3 seconds to start and its quality is on par with when its connected.
I have experienced one outage where the music cut out, but it came back in 2 seconds.
Really can't emphasize how amazing it sounds.

These speakers are simply brilliant! After rediscovering music with the P5s, I decided to splurge and buy the Zeppelin Air and I couldn't say enough good things about them. The sound is so detailed that I often find myself standing right by them listening to music.

They can definitely fill up a large living room without distorsion to the music itself.

Don't look at the price, please yourself, these are AMAZING!

the zeppelin air sounds as good as it looks. no really, it does. sounds amazing, bass, powerful. crystal clear iPod dock. even at times i have to adjust the bass setting and change equaliser cause too much bass. just shows u its got enough bass. room filling and loud. i thought my hifi was good until i bought a monster beats by dr. beat box. i thought that was great until i bought this beauty.really comes out. even when i am out of my bedroom and on the other side of the wall it sounds great. no wonder its got an award. as for air play. it took ages to set up and even when done it won't play through it and air play icon docent show on my iPhone. and when it works, it keeps cutting off. why can't it be so easy to set up like in airport utility. i wouldn't use it anyway. i just use iPod and aux. a really brilliant piece of tech. may be expensive but its all worth it

Great product. Best toy ever for an iProduct or a MAC. Sounds great. I haven't had any trouble with connection and design is very nice (best design, I think). I am actually waiting for the zeppelin mini to get airplay to put it in another, smaller, room and make it a complete sound system.

I just purchased this product at the Apple store in Houston. Been playing music through it for about 8 hours now. Set up the air play feature as instructed and there was no issue. The only thing I've found so far is if you try to adjust the volume through the volume slider on iTunes, it automatically goes to the loudest setting on the zeppelin, even if you don't turn it up that far on the computer. Scares me because I don't want to bust the speakers. Also, I find the quality of the sound (as far as equalizer settings) sounds better through the docked iPhone. I was constantly having to play with the equalized through iTunes to get a sound i liked.

As someone mentioned on another review, this product sounds amazing with acoustic guitars. Bluegrass music sounds AMAZING! Piano solo music from Pandora sounds amazing as well. I don't care for the quality of the bass on pop music. Perhaps it's just the placement of the unit in my room that's the issue because many people say they think it sounds great. This replaced a 10 year old bose wave radio that I really love. The Zeppelin sounds much, much better. It does seem that you have to listen to the zeppelin at a higher volume to hear it at its best. May be something to consider if you are using it in a smaller room.
