    Great sound, but terrible fit

    • Written by from San Jose

This headset delivers most of what Jabra usually does: light weight, great sound and battery life, etc. Unfortunately, the design is based on a flexible boom that has to twist to fit into your ear and twists itself out of my ear in less than a minute.

I've tried the different fitting options (on both sides) and have had no luck at all. After a two week test, it's clearly not going to work. So, see if you can try one on before buying it – many people seem to do just fine, but you don't want o be stuck with it if it won't stay in.

Also, the call button will not trigger Siri, and once I get Siri triggered the voice recognition is much poorer than speaking into the phone directly.

    Not recommended.

    ALMOST Perfect. Just one Catch

    • Written by from Oakland

DESIGN and ERGONOMICS: The design is perfect. Its sits in my ear comfortable enough but it did require some getting used to.

COMPATIBILITY: I bought this headset for both, my iPhone 4s and as a gaming headset for TeamSpeak on my MacBook Air running Mountain Lion and Windows 7 through bootcamp. The thing is, windows 7 does not support bluetooth headsets... something to do with bluetooth profiles not included in windows. This is not Jabra's fault so thats not why I gave it 4 stars, however I thought It might be useful to inform.

SOUND QUALITY (OUT): The sound reproduced by the Jabra Wave is nice enough, not a device for music, but it's quite fine for conversations.

SOUN QUALITY (IN): Here's the catch. I recorded using the apple in ear buds, the internal microphone from my MBA and the JB, the JB recordings were the worst... it's like the bit rate of the capture is REALLY low. Don't get me wrong, the Wave is an excellent device and the bit rate of the recordings is enough to be understandable, but if they could improve this, it would be a 5-star product.
