Wish I had kept packaging, would've returned.

Great idea, but the manufacturer needs to make it so you can charge it while it's in it's case. It's not an easy task putting it in and out of the case. Not very happy about that.
And the connecter for my car needs the same hole.
    Bummed.

    Too flimsy and ill made

The holes did not line up with the buttons and the spring on the clip broke in less than a week. Good idea but not well made.

    PERFECT!!!

    • Written by from Falls Church

this carrier is perfect, its built very sturdy and the carabiner is sized just right (ignore the other comments about it being too big) it clips on pretty much anywhere and while there may not be a hole that allows connecting of the charging cable... the case itself is built to keep moisture out so i prefer it the way it is... I would however suggest buying 2, its a popular item and seem to always be on backorder..

    Rather good, but...

    • Written by from Saint Petersburg

This one thing is rather good, but it could be rather perfect. Every time when you want to charge your iPod or synchronize it, you have to take it out of this case. In this moment its metal carabiner becomes loosen. So it would be really great if the manufacturer will make a special hole for the direct wire connection (the same hole like for headphones) and a special cap to protect the iPod connector when it is not used. So when you want to connect your device all you have to do is just to eject that cap and connect your iPod. If it will be done, this one case will be rather perfect. In this way it will worth it's 24.95$. And in this way I'll give it 5 stars.

    Essential accessory

    • Written by from MONTREAL

Picked this up for my second nano after the first silently unclipped itself and committed suicide against the sidewalk (it kept playing without missing a beat for a block and a half of suicidal friction, mind you!). This case is FANTASTIC... not only do I feel more secure about the safety of my nano, I'm finding it even easier to use with this case: because it's hanging it always has the same orientation so I don't have to keep turning my screen view, and the function buttons are actually easier to locate and use on the rubber exterior.
Not 100% easy to take in and out of the case for synching and recharging, but then again if it was easy I'd worry about it falling out, so I'll count it as a plus.

Great for clipping iPod from book bag or pants on the go. Great for the gym as well. A little annoying to actually put the iPod in the case.

    Almost perfect

    • Written by from Richmond

This case is excellent. It's actually much more rugged than I thought it would be. Once your Nano is inside, it feels rock solid. If you don't sync your Nano often, then this could be perfect for you. The case makes the Nano virtually splash proof.

However, my stereo input on my car uses the 30pin connector for iPod, which I use every day. So, taking it in and out of the case is no good for me. If you are careful you can remove a little silicone and make room for the 30 pin connector, which I did. Of course by making the opening for the connector, mine is not quite as splash proof.

I al ways found the clip built onto the Nano a pain to work, but this carabiner makes things easy. If this case came with an opening for the dock connector, and maybe a fold out plug that fit in snug when not using the connector it would be 5 five stars.

If you don't use the dock connector often, highly recommended.

If you use the dock connector often, still recommended, but you might want to make an opening in the case.

Warning: Clip broke after 5 months

    • Written by from Philadelphia

I don't dispute any part of the other reviews - this is an ingenious little case that does a good job of protecting the Nano. Unfortunately the spring that keeps the clip shut has completely busted after less than 5 months of moderate use. (Clipping it on and off a bookbag - nothing extreme.) To be honest, I like the case so much that I'm considering replacing it. But if you think the price is already on the high side, just beware that you might be shelling out for a Nano case again soon.

    Great for iPod nano

    • Written by from Suamico

I really researched the different ipod holders/protectors and I am so glad I found this one. I am very particular about quality and this courier clip is well made and well worth the money. I read other reviews about this protector and one thing I have to dispute is the fact that it is hard to get the nano out, I find just the opposite, it is really easy to get the nano out. I feel like my iPod nano is well protected even if I would drop it. I also purchased the anti glare film and I glad that I did. Together these two products will help make my iPod nano last a long time and be scratch free.

Great Case For This Little iPod

    • Written by from Dunwoody

It is hard to find a great case for your brand new iPod Nano. This one is not cheap. However, it is a very nice case for this iPod. Spend the money and buy this case before you drop the little nano! It is so little you need this case to protect it from "fat finger" type accidents. Remember, your only have to drop it on a hard surface ONCE and you are going to be very unhappy-to say the least. Don't buy some cheap case for this little jewel that is truly the best sounding iPod I have EVER owned-and I have owned one of every model that Apple has made. This Nano sounds fantastic-take care of it and get you one of these. You will thank me the first time it slips out of your hand (s).

    Hint

    • Written by from Groton

Well this is probably a bad idea but if you really wanted to have the USB port open you could always use a knife to cut it open. I think it's great the way it is though. They should make a little rubber door that you could open and close if you wanted.

    Interesting design. Very functional

    • Written by from Silver Spring

Bought this case as it wasn't quite your normal iPod case. Must say I'm quite pleased with this case as you can take your nano with you wherever you go without the fear of losing it. I clip the case to the sternum strap on my backpack and it's pretty lightweight and easy to reach. This case works great while traveling or just out and about. Highly recommend.

    Love it.

    • Written by from Cloquet

This product makes using my iPod nano while riding my bike on trails a pleasure. I'm able to take my Nano with me, and have it easy to reach and use with out having to worry about whether it's protected or not. Very durable, without taking away most functions of the iPod.

However, one of the things I like about it, is also a con. It covers up the port for the usb cable, which keeps dirt out of it, and that's great. On the other hand, it also makes it so you can not plug in the receiver for the iPod Nike+ sensor.

    Robust and Convenient

    • Written by from Milford

This is a terrific accessory. I too was a little confounded when I discovered that the USB/Firewire port is not exposed, but then I figured that it's better this way: I work in my yard quite a bit, and this way I don't have to worry about getting dirt and moisture in the port. The volume and power buttons are covered, but the rubber is raised there and all buttons respond naturally.

I use this by attaching to a lanyard and hanging around my neck and under my shirt. Again, this is for protection from dirt and I find it easier to access rather than unclipping all the time.

The clip will basically double the weight and bulk of your Ipod, but for me that's a good thing. I have big hands and like having something to hold onto. I hang the clip up along with my car keys when not in use so I always know where it is.

    Excellent clip

    • Written by from North Chili

This clip was just what I was looking for. This Nano is so small that I was misplacing it all over the house; now I can just hang it up on its own hook when not in use. It also clips easily to my purse or to a belt loop. I didn't want the wrist mount because when I exercise, I wear a heart rate monitor and don't want two things on my wrists. No, you can't charge it while in the case, but it's soft rubber and easy to pop the Nano in and out easily.

The one problem I had is that the hole for the headphones was too small for my car's MP3 cable, but that was easily fixed with an exacto knife. I just cut a slightly bigger hole with no problem at all.

    The best I could find!

    • Written by from BUENA VISTA

I looked at lots of different cases and decided to buy this one. It is sturdy, easy to use and protects the nano very well. The glass of the nano is still exposed but it is recessed and surrounded with rubber, so it seems to be well protected. Button operation is no problem. It would be nice to charge it without taking it out of the case, but you'd have to sacrifice sturdiness. With a little practice it goes in & out of the protective rubber with ease. I never like paying $25 for an accessory but at least you get a well made substantial product. I have paid $25 for much cheaper cases.

    Great with one exception

    • Written by from Napa

This is a great sturdy product for the Nano (6th Gen.). It really puts my mind at ease now when using my Nano. The buttons still work great and the carabiner clip is a nice addition. However, the one drawback is that it does not allow any access to the 30 pin connector. Anytime one wants to charge or sync the Nano, you have to wrestle it out of the case and then back in. And because it is a sturdy case, getting it in and out is not a delicate operation. Overall, a good product and I have no regrets in purchasing it.
