    An object of desire

    • Written by from SOLANA BEACH

While there are thousands of gadgets, very few have that special property of exciting the senses. This is one of them. This tiny, yet weighty package, brings a new functionality to iPhones, iPods and iPads. It provides excellent sound (relative to its small size), convenience in its portability and wireless connectivity, and a gorgeous ID. I found I carried it with me around the home to use as a crisp speakerphone. At other times I streamed radio and played my music. I'd rank it 5 stars if it were $50 less. At $200 it's pushing the value. And while the sound can't compare with a bookshelf speaker at a similar cost, it's better than any other at 3 or 4 times the volume.

Excessed my expectation given by it sizes

    • Written by from Emeryville

Ok, i raely write any review of products that I've bought but I do feel like being fair to this one after reading some bad reviews about this speaker. PLEASE keep in mind this thing is about the size of a small coke from McDonald's. So, do not expect this to give you any good deep bass a 5" subwoofer can pump out. There is no speaker this size can give you any deep bass in a reasonable volume no matter whom make them. Its the law of physics. Given the size of this speaker, I m impress on how good the sound it can produce in a higher than normal volume (from a normal consumer standpoint). The bluetooth range is good with my new ipad. The only complain i have is using it as a speaker phone. The bulid-in mic just not sensitive enough to pick up my voice within a reasonable distance. You have to be close to it for the far end to hear you. So, dont expect this speaker can replace your Polycom conference phone on your meeting desk.

    Pretty Amazing

    • Written by from PHILADELPHIA

This speaker can fit in your pocket, very easy to drag around where ever you go. I was shocked of the sound quality from this small cube. Looks durable. I would give 5 out of 5 stars if were not for the steep price of $199.99, the price could have been cheaper so everyone can enjoy this device

    Fantastic for Travel!

    • Written by from PEARLAND

I know people are ripping the JAMBOX for the cost and fidelity, but remember.... It's designed for travel! This is PERFECT for the road. I spend four nights a week in a hotel room and I've got to say, this thing beats anything on the market. It's FANTASTIC... bluetooth, rechargeable battery, compact and easy to move from the room to bathroom (for your shower in the morning) to the gym, to the pool area for a nice beverage... etc... Think about the application and simplicity of use and you will see the absolute joy of this product... did I mention it was BLUETOOTH and works with Pandora, iHeart Radio and all my mac products! ROCK ON MY FRIENDS!

    Packs a Punch

    • Written by from SAINT PETERSBURG

I purchased a Jambox not too long ago and it jams way more than I thought it ever could; I guess hence the name "Jambox". The unit definitely packs a punch & make you believe you spent more money than you actually did and in the long run you'll be glad you didn't buy one of those big name brand high dollar products & you'll save $money$ to boot. The unit is small enough to bring just about anywhere & you'll be happy you did because the charge provides literally hours of listening to video's & movie's. Well my money's on the "Jambox", well actually only little money.

Functionally excellent, sound quality only OK

    • Written by from Maineville

I bought this speaker for a quite a few reasons, but mainly because of it's portability (which is fantastic) and it's Bluetooth connectivity. It does not disappoint in those regards. Works well as a speaker phone. It becomes a really useful extension of my iPhone 4 and I believe it's usefulness will transcend several generations of iPhones and iPads.

That being said, the sound is disappointing. When you turn the unit on it makes a deep vibrating bass noise and then you kiss that excitement good bye when you actually play music on it. It is not bad, and like others I can say "It is good FOR ITS SIZE", but it doesn't blow you away like I thought it would.

    SKYPE not yet

The Jambox does not work via bluetooth with Skype. But it does work perfectly with FRING. When I discovered this, what a pleasant surprise! Come on Skype, unjam Jambox.

    Woah

This little thing puts out. It doubles as a decent gaming mic, I know that sounds weird (I felt the same way about it) but you will be surprised how nice it is to have a hands free wireless mic that doesn't have to be on your head. The sound is great. Paring is kind of annoying, and battery life isn't superb. Honestly this thing has great bass.

    Durable, customizable, good sound

    • Written by from Fair Oaks Ranch

The primary use is a mobile bluetooth speaker system. Secondarily, it is a speakerphone. The sound quality for the size is amazing. A lot more bass than I expected. I didn't give it five stars because of I didn't think about the impact of it being an "all-in-one" speaker system. If you are very far away from it, you are going to have a great mono experience. If it is sitting on the desk in front of you, not an issue. If it is further away, the sound suffers only because the speakers are so close to each other. If you just want to make noise, or use it close by, and you have $200 to burn... knock yourself out. You won't be disappointed.

    fantastic

    • Written by from Calgary

this thing is fantastic - I have been looking for a bluetooth unit to drop some $ on for good portable sound with iPad, speakerphone / blackberry phone / friends phones / kids iPod etc etc etc. Pairing is simple, sound to size is really amazing - have it close for quality which is easy due to it's size. It is smaller then you think. The only reason it is getting only 4 stars is because I decided to walk into an apples store to get it - it was the most awful brutal experience.

This is the first of many various brands that will stock shelves in the future for cheaper but I am happy cause it is awesome

    not bad for its size

    • Written by from Lindenhurst

its a little pricey. but its tiny and compact so it makes for a good traveling speaker. The sound i think is pretty clear and it work via bluetooth so any device that has bluetooth (which most devices do these days) will work wirelessly with it. What i dont like it that volume doesnt get loud enough to go over people talking. so if your alone and its quiet, this will seem loud. but wont work at a party. Also there is no way to see how full the battery is. so it could be almost dead and you wont know until it turns itself off. They should really make a screen on it so you can tell if it needs to be charged.

    Excellent Product

    • Written by from Edmonton

The Jambox is a great speaker for on the go with surprising sound quality for such a small device. My only complaint is the volume of the speaker is somewhat limited in my opinion but the sound quality makes up for that small gripe. The website is easy to navigate and the ability to change the settings and download new updates for the speaker makes me excited for the prospect of things to come.

    Really cool, but

    • Written by from fort mcmurray

I love the size and sound quality. It truly blew me away for being such a compact device. It is solidy built and is a very cool looking device.
The problem I'm having is the quality of the speaker phone and the connection issues. I set it up on the jawbone website to work with my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2 and the connection reliability is about 50/50. I do like it a lot and have found many cool uses for it. It's a keeper

    It is Very Good

    • Written by from Shelburne

For a what this is ( a Bluetooth speaker the size of a 1/2 pound of cheese ) , it really produces pretty decent sound . The bass is somewhat weak , but ok and the high and mid ranges are very good . The portability is great and the cool factor is undeniable . Buy it .

    Great sound...limited volume

    • Written by from Fort Lee

Very happy with the sound quality but the only downside is the max volume. Even when the iphone and jambox are at max, I would have expected it to be louder.
