    What a disappointment

    • Written by from birmingham

I really wanted wireless Bluetooth speaker to go with my iPhone 5
So after my One to One class was finished, I asked if this product would work with
    my iPhone 5??
Well........ IT DOES NOT!!! I even disabled Siri to see if it would help- no dice
So I had my wife try to pair it- it connected for a second but then nothing.
She deleted the JAWBONE from my settings. When she paired it on her iPhone 4 &
    Our daughter's iPhone 4S -- IT WORKED!!
I'm so disappointed. My wife is mad because the sales person should've done compatibility search in the APPLE STORE before selling it to me.....

    Not worth the money

    • Written by from Morro Bay

This product is not worth any price you might pay for it. It won't stay connected to my iPad from only ten or fifteen feet away. If it won't connect, it's whole premise is bunk! You may, on the other hand, enjoy the weird sounds it makes as it cycles through the pairing mode. They're very annoying. That's all it does correctly. I'm returning it.

    Bad sound quality

    • Written by from wylie

Bought it thinking it would sound good. Tested with: 1)Gym Class Hero-Martryial Girl and 2)fighter. 3) Nicki Minaj-Roman Revenge and a bunch others.

The sound of the speaker is minimal. If you want a loud speaker, avoid this one . The sound is very muted. it sounds like if you were to put a blanket over your speaker. That is what the Jambox sounds like. That said the speaker can't handle bass very well. It is cracking at the loudest volume. The treble is set low so it's not very clear. Horrible quality. Will end up returning today.

I did buy the Beats Pills by Dr Dre. It sounds much clearer, much louder, and can handle the bass of the 3 songs mentioned above. I would have kept it, except that it doesn't support the iphone5. Seriously??? Husband called their support line and was told that we will have to mail it to them so that they can upgrade the firmware. Forget that. I'm not mailing anything. The Pill is going back to the store too.

    Will try the Bose next...

    Good sound but...

Good sound but full of bleeps, beeps, and blurps, which in the end makes me think more of my daughter's toy. Very irritating and annoying.

Two failures - low quality electronics

    • Written by from Menlo Park

Upon purchasing my first Jambox, the device never held more than 50% charge. After several days of use, the device stopped holding any charge. The speaker would play with static and sputtering power if plugged into AC power, but died after several seconds running only on the battery. I returned the device to the Apple store, where they replaced it and acknowledged they had seen this issue before.

With the new device, trying to do things by the book to ensure no user error, I plugged the device in for 4 hours. When I returned to use the Jambox, it was completely unresponsive. I will have to exchange again or return completely.

I am very disappointed that a product with such high potential for good sound, mobility, and external design, could rely un such faulty electronics. Certainly not worth $200.

Battery and Software Issues PLS BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU BUY

    • Written by from Singapore

It sounded GREAT but only worked for 2 hours in NYC. I traveled to Bombay got to my hotel room and the battery was flat. Tried to charge it for hours and still will not come back to life. Spent hours and hours on user forms to try to solve the issue. Still dead and no music or joy. Lot of complaints in the Jawbone Jambox user forms which I suggest your review to make sure the good folks at Jawbone fix this issue. I want to give them a chance so hope this will be temporary issue but if you read this be careful about this issue. I live in Singapore where there is no Apple Store so make sure you buy this where you can return it if it does not work.

    Connected but no sound

    • Written by from Ponte Vedra Beach

My unit connected an worked for phone calls but no bluetooth audio. Playing with the line in cable supplied highlighted that it was an issue with the AUX port. Very bad quality control. Their forums are littered with similar tales. I'd buy it from a store and check it works. I hope it's not an issue that will occur after the warranty expires.

    Bluetooth Instability

    • Written by from Frisco

For the 20 seconds of sound I was able to steal out of the 4 hours of tinkering with this $200 speaker, I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. The device pairs with both my iPad and iPhone but will not push any audio out via bluetooth. I was able to muster 3 seconds with each powering on and off session, then the sound would cut off and disappear. I have already downloaded the updater program which has had no effect in solving the problem.

After plugging in the stereo jack and removing it, the speaker would play wirelessly for a minute then cut off as before. Have already reset both iPad, iPhone, and JAMBOX multiple times.

It seems to me this product is defective. I'm hesitant to get a replacement in fear of going through the same turmoil from today. Had it worked from the get-go, I'd have given it 4 stars (still too expensive) for the portability, size, and design (well, maybe not so much the engineering design).
