    Haters gonna hate

Folks, nevermind the naysayers as they have never heard of equalizers (or maybe they forgot to take the plastic off lolz). This is an A-one product. Sounds fantastic looks great and blows away virtually every desktop or device speaker I have ever had the misfortune of using before the Jawbone! For realz!!!

For the price you can get a better Bluetooth speaker like the one that has *USB port to power/charged most USB device (*very useful)

    Poor construction, incompetent customer service

Don't buy this thing. I'm on my third in four months: the first one arrived broken, the second broke within a month (no, I didn't drop it -- it just stopped working), and the third has managed to survive, but I'm already seeing gaps in the casing that are going to let moisture and dust inside. The USB cord bent next, and it took customer service three tries to get the right one sent out. It takes them forever to deal with service issues, and frankly I think there are better speakers out there; the Jambox is good (when it's working), but you can always hear a faint hiss in the background, and you have to choose between clarity and volume. I see that the price has come down from $200; if it gets down to around $150, I might reconsider, but for now, when this third one breaks, I'm trying another brand. I've had enough.

    DO NOT BUY! :(

Someone rightly said as to not to judge a "bluetooth speaker" by the way it looks. Having owned a Monster iClarity (Seriously loud), X-mini KAI (fits in ur palm but still as loud as ur Ma) and a Bose Soundlink (won't compare with this one now) i expected JAMBOX to sound as good as Monster iClarity or even better but it turned out to sound only as good or less as my iPhone 4S. Bought today, returning tomorrow. I don't get how a company like Jawbone can get away with this. How dissapointing!!

    Really Awesome Speakers!

    • Written by from Las Vegas

I love listening to music. Though this speaker is small, size doesn't mean everything. This speaker can be heard throughout my whole room. I recommend this item if you need portable speakers that you can take everywhere and want to start a party!

Best speaker purchase ever for iPhone and iPad

    • Written by from STEVENS POINT

I have always had docking speakers for my iPhones and iTunes and were nice. I picked up the Jawbone on the one-day Verison special on Black Friday for half price. When I got back to daughter's house I turned it on, it paired right away and we put on some dance tunes. Despite having to go do more shopping, we danced to the awesome sound coming from this small speaker. It was like have a large stereo in the family room. And Bluetooth pairing makes it so portable. I think my docks have had their day. With the protective carrying case and ability to update drivers by MyTALK, microphone for phone calls and provided charger, this is what I am going to carry around when in the house and on travel; no cords, no docking, pure bass sound and responsiveness. YES!!

Love this Jambox, the best by far!

    • Written by from Miami Lakes

Without question the best and smallest, by far, speaker for traveling with your iDevices! I have used and carried with me in my travels all kind of contraptions because I need to have my music (and movies) with me! I was a bit reserved because of its small size, but when I press "play" I was blown away!!! BONUS: wireless (easy to set up), it talks to you about the (long) battery status, you can use your iPhone (it pauses and it has a microphone)! I absolutely love it!

    Impressive portable speaker

If you are looking for a small, portable, battery driven Bluetooth speaker you should take a hard look at this little gem. This speaker produces pleasing audio for a package this small.

    Love this!

This little speaker does a bang-up job! It connects in a second and it sounds awesome for such a small package. I take it with me to Europe when I travel as I frequently need to do an impromptu conference call and it works like a charm. The sound is crisp and clear and plenty loud. No, it isn't going to make you think you're in Carniegie Hall, but if that's an unreasonable expectation for this device. In a normal roon, though, it fills the space with sound easily.

The Jawbone Jambox is a small portable speaker that you can safely throw in your bag and not worry about damaging it in the process. It's sounds good for a small sealed speaker. It does tend to bounce itself off smooth surfaces so make sure you put a small piece of cloth under it if you're going to put it on a glass surface. It managed to jumped off my glass desk several times before I figured out this small trick.

I got the green special edition one but would have been happy to get the red model. I was ablle to use the speaker phone feature in my car with my iphone.

Dont expect bone shaking bass from this unit even though you can clearly feel the bass when you hold the speaker in your hand.

Overall it's a capable speaker for its size.

    Pretty Awesome Piece of Gear

    • Written by from Toronto

It's a very slick piece of industrial design, that sounds pretty darn fine, and just plain works. For those who say it's not loud enough, the new firmware 2.1 lets you toggle between LiveAudio being on or off. With it on -- it's a nice personal listening experience for a couple of people at best. With it off, this little thing that fits in a briefcase can fill a room. It's not going to sound like a full blown stereo system, but if you're travelling, it's a nice piece that will happily make enough noise in a hotel room.

The bluetooth is very cool, it's got pretty good frequency response, and with LiveAudio, it actually images in a weird but neat kind of way.

It's not a stereo replacement, and yes, you can get way cheaper stereo speakers that sound better, but you probably couldn't fit them in your baggy jeans pocket.

    Over Rated! :(

I live in a very small studio apt. and the sound from the Jambox is very very poor... I had to return and purchase the Bose Soundlink (Bluetooth) for extra $100.
I would recommend any of the iHome products before this flawed and overrated device. Lastly, The downloads and updates are pointless and a waste of time.... too much work.... Boo...

Jawbone dropped the ball on this one!!

    • Written by from Sheridan

The noise NoiseAssassin 3.0 does not work, and their is no way for you to turn it on or off like the older jawbones.
It also looks like Apple will not take it back you have to deal with Jawbone.
But it does work good in quiet places, and I did like the fit.
