    Pretty Awesome Piece of Gear

It's a very slick piece of industrial design, that sounds pretty darn fine, and just plain works. For those who say it's not loud enough, the new firmware 2.1 lets you toggle between LiveAudio being on or off. With it on -- it's a nice personal listening experience for a couple of people at best. With it off, this little thing that fits in a briefcase can fill a room. It's not going to sound like a full blown stereo system, but if you're travelling, it's a nice piece that will happily make enough noise in a hotel room.

The bluetooth is very cool, it's got pretty good frequency response, and with LiveAudio, it actually images in a weird but neat kind of way.

It's not a stereo replacement, and yes, you can get way cheaper stereo speakers that sound better, but you probably couldn't fit them in your baggy jeans pocket.

Great, but don't update on a Mac

I love the size, versatility, and sound quality of this little guy, but when I checked for an update using my trusty pre-Intel iMac, I got caught in an 'update failed, try again' loop, and it even suggested that my unit may not be functional. The bad news: the unit would no longer pair with my iPad 2. To solve the problem I restored my Jambox (easily done by holding down the circular talk button while you plug in the charger, then release then button). On the iPad I told it to 'forget this device', restarted the iPad, and paired again from scratch. The Jambox support forum suggests updating from a PC, and I guess that's because they know the Mac version is buggy.
But I still love my little Jambox. It's great for watching TV shows on my iPad or listening to tunes when we're camping.

I also have a Bose Portable. Jambox does not have the same bass but still sounds good. Have compared them side to side and Jambox is same volume as Bose is when Bose set to 3/4 volume.
Bought this as i travel lots and i wanted it to put in bathroom when i shower as i don't want Mac Book and Iphone in that humidity.
Only thing i worry about is that this thing will vibrate itself off a wooden or glass table when on high volume. Even with the rubber base u have to be careful where u put it.

The Jambox delivers what is promised.

Keep in mind that the Jambox does NOT replace your home theater system or other larger speaker systems.

The value of the Jambox is in its portability and delivered power for its small size!

The Jambox is a very good sounding portable speaker. The sound that comes from it is amazing for it's size however the volume is just not loud enough to enjoy outdoors or for cranking up in a large room. It's great sitting on a desk in front of you or by a quiet pool or patio. The price is not justified IMHO.

    Jambox Jams!

I purchased the Jambox after owning several previous Jawbone Products and then a friend purchased one... after hearing it--I had to have one.

I travel most of the year--and my old Altec-Lansing Travel Speakers were just not hacking the iPod & iPhone. They packed nice in my luggage, but the cell-phone interference was unnerving!

The JAMBOX does pack a great deal of bass response. However, it will “hop across the table” when really pumping. I am just a little disappointed in the total available volume from the Jambox for its $200 Price Tag.

Bluetooth Pairing is the easiest I’ve ever experienced. And it’s voice response leaves nothing to the imagination.

Ask me? I say BUY ONE!

Great for Travel - some initial setup issues

Great for travel. I use in my office, at home and can pair both my company blackberry and personal iphone (does not work with original iphone you need 3G or later). I personally hate wearing headsets so having a speaker phone option is great. Music is perfect for personal use.

Had a setup issue with the speaker failing and the customer service folks at Jawbone were great. They sent me a new devise next day air and personally help me set up everything on Mytalk to customize my experience. Even with this initial problem I recommend this product. Get the red, you will be able to find it...
