Great product! They're a little on the pricy side but carry great sound(bass and treble included). I've had mine for about a year now and I am seeing a little splitting in the rubber around the cable near the end of the earbuds. But in all, still a great product.

These headphones have amazing sound and a crystal clear microphone! The large controls are both a blessing and a curse as they are easy to adjust while running or at the gym, but occasionally get in the way (when running it thumps against my chest so I tuck it under my collar, but when tucked under my collar I hit it while bicep curling a bar of bench pressing so I tuck it into the cavity behind my collar bone... sounds tricky but you don't even think about it).
If my first pair ever wears out (currently over a year old) I will happily buy a second without hesitation!

Amazing sound for Classical music - rich bass and clear treble. And durable (nice little metal case for storage) - I put mine through the clothes washing machine on warm mode this week and they still sound fine!

I have been looking for the perfect earbud style headphones for awhile now. Ive been through countless pairs and these are the ones that finally stood up to the challenge. I workout with them, snowboard with them and they have even been through the wash a couple times....they're unstoppable ! They are amazingly comfortable for long car and plane rides and have great sounding audio. Mine fit perfect to my ear shape and block out everything around me on my bus commute. I strongly recommend !

    wire problem

bought this earphones a year ago, was very happy at the beginning especially with noise reducing feature (should put buds tight into ears which causes a headache sometimes), but the worst part - wire cover got broken and probably headphones going to be dead soon. Back to comfortable but not so cool Apple head phones with mic! And I wish they cost less - it's not a Bose product even close!

These earphones are really great, comfortable and the ear phones that shape into your ear makes its impossible to hear anything other than your music (which can be dangerous when purposely ignoring your husband talking)..very resistant in all sports. Only thing I wished I could do was control how high the remote is..as I find it a bit too high for me (lays right on my sternum).

I was very excited when I found these on sale for $89 here. But have to say, I wish that I returned them & got my money back while I still could. Out of all the headphones I currently have...Monster Beats, Q350, and Phillips O'Neil--I use these the least...actually not at all anymore. They just aren't functional for me in any sense. The in-line mic seems to not work at all (have found the mic on the Q350 as the best). And as mentioned in the title of my review, I really don't recommend these for runners. The HUGE volume control was constantly bouncing off my chest--even when I tried clipping it to my clothes--really uncomfortable. So much that I'd actually run without headphones at all than with these. Definitely not made for all-sports as marketed...

Most importantly, the sound quality is just OK (although surprisingly not as good as any of the previously listed). I have had headphones that I paid $10 for that have had better sound quality than these. You can do better.

    Real Review

Hi I am a filmmaker, biker and musician.

First: the sound of Klipsch is great. It is warm but plain, so you can hear everything the song/audio has to offer without any excessive bass boost up. If you push them in, they completely isolate, if you don't, you can hear external sounds - needed when biking.

Then: On a bike under the rain is quite good, but there are two problems:
    1. The mic-remote is far from the mouth and has probably [when I bought the headphone 2 yrs ago] the microphone in the center or in the bottom side. This means people won't hear you well in the traffic o in an open space. I tried replacing the item but it was exactly the same. Bending or tying it in order to shorten the cable did somehow the trick. Not that pro anyway.
    2. The rugged microphone seems to be too big for a tight pocket.

    Final note:
I recently tried earphones who have some way to touch the back side of your ear, and they diffuse the sound in a better way. Try it yourself: if you put a finger and connect the earbud with the larger part of the ear, you will listen every sound warmer and more present. This is because our ear is made to capture the sound with all the ear shape, not just the ear hole. So I GUESS in average earphones having a contact with that part of the ear should work better compared with the same earphones without a connection to the full shape of the ear. This also explains why ear-covering earphones work better. But we want it all: little, easy to carry, amazing sound, perfect mike-remote and of course not falling earphones.
For a biker, hearing a little bit of external sound is safer.

The sound is perfect but beware of the case. Even though it's supposed to be made for extreme outdoors, the case open up easily. I lost my headphone somewhere in the nature because of that and never found it. I had to buy another one but this time, the case will remain in closed pocket

These headphones fit like a glove and stay in my ears even when I am running or exercising. Okay, the bass is not the best as mentioned before, however, the sound is excellent. Great mid range and highs! I have owned Bose and others but I am really pleased with these. Other posters have mentioned that the sound controls are too large but I have to disagree. Also, when exercising, I use the included clip and clip to my shirt and this eliminates that rubbing sound that others have mentioned. They are worth the $129 that I paid for these.

    Sound quality is great...

I bought these as an extra pair to wear them on snowy or rainy days. I have the Bose Mie2i for regular days.
A lot of people have talked all the good stuff about these headphones. I agree with most of the reviews.
    Here is my 2 cents:
    1. The do not stay put... they constantly fall out.
    2. Not great for walking you hear the rubbing noise from the cord touching your clothes.
    3. They shock you... Yes you read right... they frequently shock you especially on dry weather. I thought I had a faulty pair but after reading about it on the web I realized that this is something they do... It is not painful... it is uncomfortable especially when you do not expect it.

    Perfect for snowboarding and cycling!

This is the first review ever on anything i've brought before, but I feel like this product deserve a five star for sports lovers.

I've own quite a few earphones, Sennheiser Adidas Sports Headphones(generally OK but do not reconment for wearing a long period of time), Bose inear 1st gen(very fragile), Klipsch X5(small earphone delivers a big sound!), and a few Shure(I guess they are better with their higher-end earphones, the mid-price ones i had was aweful IMHO).

For sports purpose, I think the S5i is the best one i've own so far, althought the clip they proveded is quite easy to drop if you pull the cable in a certain direction, but the water resistant is exceptionally good. I've been riding in many weather conditions including some very heavy rains and it never fail on me. For a couple of times i accidently drop one of ear pieces in a glass of water and it still performs perfectly.

Sound wise, personally i am not a big fan of heavy base, but not a classical guy either, the base from Klipsch is just right for me, mid and high are very clear, the lows are just enough to pound my head. Of course the sound from S5i is not as rich as the X5, but interestingly I would use S5i over X5 most of time, I would use my X5 only when I know i'll be siting down with my computer, maybe is because S5i fits better in my ear and it allows me to move around with it.

    Great headphones

I'll probably go through this a little more specific so that people can get a grasp of my idea of what the headphones feel for ME.

Sound - The sound is on top premium quality, although there are muffles here and there everything is heard through out the song. Testing it, the highs were clear but there were a few cling and tangs that sounded out of order but still felt natural enough for me that it didn't really put me off. The Mids are perfect, without any distortion and with perfect comfort the Mids really played out well without any form of muffling or even vague ticks that i didn't prefer. The Lows although some people are very opinionated about the lows as it's an important part for many people it is perfect for me. It's balance with the music although some people don't understand that bass is not the most important thing, it's a perfect balance giving enough oomf that it doesn't distort or magnify anything you don't need. I give the sound 4/5

Quality - The quality gives it quite the gift, although it would've been nice for it to untangle more easily, it's made easily tangible for it to be portable. The build on it feels very natural and with the metal buds and quality of the ruggedness you can feel the protection in the rubber. The remote is perfect for me as i do a lot of sports including basketball, skipping, weight lifting, power lifting and just training in general; without any problem i was able to fall through all that without any form of problem as i put the headphones around my ear and have the clip on so that the vibration doesn't make the headphones fall out. 5/5

Build Design - Although the remote could've been smaller after some personal time with it, it's become perfect. I've never had the problem of it becoming accidentally pressed, the large size makes it almost impossible to press accidentally unless you're always touching your chest at a constant rate but the design of the actual buds are very well put into. If you clip the headphones and have them over the ear with the nice fit of the buds it makes it an absolute match. The buds because of their oval shape they are very comfortable and never fall out of my ears, sometimes though i feel it puts air in my ear but if i just pull the top of my ear upward it releases the air. The only problem i have with the concept is the way the headphones tangle and the remote could've been just a little bit smaller 4/5

With the casing that comes with strobe lighting and a flash light and it's a very hard rubber case it allows perfect holding material that i believe is klipsch quality. Without fail these headphones i got for $100 i feel very satisfied with and plan on becoming a loyal customer to klipsch. Even though i was skeptical at first because it was a company i was not familiar with physically i feel quite relieved that this satisfaction with them are high.

    Not very rugged at all

I had these for less than a week before they began to malfunction. I wore them only at my desk in my home. The 360 degree mic is truly awful (unless you are maybe in the woods or something running?) because it picks up all noise not just your voice. the mic is also super low since it's on the remote instead of separate on the cord. I changed out the silicone tips and that's when the sound went out of them. Totally junky.

    Worked for me as advertised.

My sweat on long bike rides or on an elliptical does not affect its performance despite having the cord and microphone/controller under my shirt on my bare skin.

Great Sound, Easy to Use Control

I bought these earphones because of the huge controller on them and it works great. I found other controllers too small and difficult to find the right button. with these, there are 3 easy to find buttons ( +, - and a play button). so you don't even need to be looking at it to use them, you can just feel the difference between the buttons with is invaluable for a number of activities such as running, biking, skiing etc. and it will be great for the winter because you'll be able to use the controller with gloves on.
Sound is great as expected from Klipsch.

I have both Klipsch Image s4i and s5i..I prefer s5i because are brand new and all the problems from the s4i(thin cable that can cut easily, better remote and bigger buttons etc.)solved! The sound is the same so S5i in my opinion is better! 4.9/5 for klipsch S5i and 4.3/5 for klipsch S4i

Terrible sound, terrible functionality - do not buy

These headphones fall out of my ears constantly. The controls are so sensitive that sometimes brushing against my coat pauses the music. The sound is not very good, and they were more expensive than they need to be. Do not buy these - I completely regret it.
