Reviews for Bose® MIE2i Mobile Headset

The fit was not the most comfortable...for me. The sound quality is average, but to me the price doesn't justify them. Bose is a name that they sometimes take advantage of, I will go back to my V-Moda Vibe Duo.

I exchanged my first pair 3 weeks after owning them because the left ear bud shocked me a few times. My second pair is doing the same thing after about 2 weeks. I will be returning them and going with a different brand.

They are only used in an office environment with my iPhone 4 and the cord is not bent or frayed at all. Very odd.

I was so excited to try these headphones given the good reviews and Bose's quality, but after a week's use, it's just not for me. I'm a normal sized person, with what I think are normal shaped ears, but I find that the earbuds fall out, particularly the right one, especially when jogging. I've tried all the different sized and shaped gel covers, but nothing works. It's very frustrating to constantly have to adjust them when exercising. I think it has to do with the weight of the music controller/mic. I get why it's placed where it is (under the right earbud), so the mic is close to the mouth, but Bose needs to find a way to better way to balance the weight.

Also, the headphones seem to have an accessibility function where it will orally list the song title, artist and even list off playlists. Over and over. This functionality activates automatically, at least on my headphones, and the only way I found to deactivate was to unplug them. It's a pain to fumble with your headphones when running a race.

If Bose could somehow find a way a to get the earphones to stay in, and there was a way to deactivate that annoying voice over, these would be perfect.

i always used bose but last year tried beats and was disapointed on ther customer service. i was glad to try the mie2i the stay in your ear no matter what you do. i run with this and workout as well. the sounds is clear and nice bass for me and i like too hiphop so bass is a must. they have stepped up there game! bose is the way to go.

Bose, enough said. Fit feels amazing and sounds great.

I bought because of the high rating. It is so accurate it. I love them. Worth every penny.

I collect headphones because I love music. I had tried many pairs include the beats by dre studio. What can I tell you ?

First impression, the comfortability. You can not go wrong with Bose design, the silicon ears tips are so soft that you just want to swallow it. The headphones rest in your ears canal, with the clip on your shirt collar, the headphones will never fall off. In fact, sometimes I don't have it clip securely on my collars, I never had the problem with it falling off. It does not poke deep into your ears like other in ear headphones do including beats by dre, and it barely stick out of your ears. The design is so good that it allow you to lay in bed on the headphones on one side without hurting your ears or poking deeper into your ears

Second impression, a lot of bass but Nicely presented high, with a lot of detail and awesome sound stage. The bass is punchy strong and nicely packed with no distortion.

The bad : the cords look weak and to be honest, they are just medium strength, which mean you can and will break it off if not being careful enough.
The bass is strong , and not good for people who prefer balanced sounds (audiophiles). Let me say that again, this headsets is meant to be for those who love music, not audiophiles. Wonder who, and what audiophiles are? They are the people who prefer the music as exactly as it was recorded in the studio, balanced bass and trebled at the same spectrum, and willing to spend thousands of dollars into it. Also let me say this. If you are a simple music lover, you will hate audiophiles headphones....because the bass is lacked out and the trebles will pinch into your eardrum, you will hate it like I do. Why? Because u can afford an expensive audiophiles headset, but you will not have the skills and knowledge to buy amplifiers and preamplifier , or to adjust the music accordingly to your ears. If you have all that then you are not a music lover. Myself, is a music lover. I love detailed music with good soundstage, warm and rich bass, but not pinchy trebles, and also the mobility to enjoy the musics whenever I go.

Mids are not presented well

Conclusion: this headphones is for music lover who prefer comfortability, sharabiblity, mobility, and music sound quality. How comfortable is it ? I can sleep on it all night long, and wear it all day long, days after days. I hope this help.

I had a set of Sennheiser MM-50 and considered them great for the money... (about half the price of the Bose MIE2i) Then when I bought these I was almost certain that twice the cash wouldn't bring twice the sound BUT I WAS WRONG!! :) These headphones really sound great! Just wonder now what I would get if I bought a headset for $300+ :P If you use in ears a lot and need something that sounds full and something that will never fall out of your ears.. then this is your solution.

This Bose headset is comfortable to wear and it stays in place in your ear. But I want to tell you, the reproduced bass frequencies are not just low, attenuated or muted -- it's like, by design, they just don't exist.

I bought the MIE2i at my local Bose retail shop, and upon returning them a couple days later for refund, I asked one of the Bose employees about this issue of such thin bass response and he admitted that, in his experience selling many of them, it is a problem across the the whole line of MIE2i headsets. He agreed, candidly, that this is more than just a subjective issue of low "perceived bass," but that for very many of the MIE2i headsets there is quite nearly NO bass response.

If I were you, I wouldn't get my hopes up that you'll purchase one of the Bose units with intact bass response -- I would just spend my money elsewhere. I decided to take a chance on Apple's own upgraded in-ear headphones, and after four months of daily use I am still quite happy with them -- sound (the overall musicality, including bass), fit and durability are all great.

I never write reviews on ANYTHING. Im one of those people that just reads them all the time and leaves it for other people to do. Haha ooops.

I was hesitant to spend the $129+ for a pair of headphones I would likely put through my washing machine in my pants or something.

I use my headphones all day long. At the gym, between and during classes, walking around town etc. So a good pair is necessary. The sounds quality is amazing (and im picky) They are VERY comfortable.

But most importantly Bose stands behind their product. One of my biggest pet peeves is a company not standing behind their products for 1 year from purchase date you can do just about anything to these and Bose will replace them NO questions asked! The best part is when you get your replacement pair, they are brand new, and your warranty starts over (1 year from the date you receive the replacement pair)

You CAN NOT go wrong here.
