if you have an iphone and want great sound, then these babies are it. i own the bose quietcomfort 3's and i love those but was skeptical about the mobile kit from their reviews(no in line button control) not much but would like that aspect to it. For a big guy they make your ears sweaty a bit too. Great for home and airplane usage not for long commutes on foot or active usage.
I just got the MIE2i's and i'm impressed. Base and sound is great and they fit perfect without the in-ear feel(you know the ones that feel like they're pressing against your ear canals. I also love the fact that the jack that goes into the iphone is slanted and not straight. i've owned some iphone original headphones and some schosch but they failed before a year because of the big jack that sticks out straight and gets caught in your coat pocket jamming the wire and loosing sound or breaking the cord from the root(which has been the case for many dead headphones) Well done BOSE!

I have never had headphones sound so crisp and clear to me. I use to have those skullcandy headphones and all they did was clog up your ears so you can hear bass but with these headphones they give you true bass and great treble
    Definitely recommend it!!!!!!!

I read all the reviews and was so excited to get these headphones. I finally got them today and they aren't good. The volume doesn't go that high. There isn't any clarity. When I listen to my music, it sounds like there's a kind of shield in front of the music. I would describe it as cloudy. I wouldn't recommend these headphones.

But the design is cool. The headphones are very comfortable. The cord is cheap though.

Great sound and works with iPhone4!

Please ignore PB from Brooklyn. I was concerned because the review said it would not work with the iPhone4 and bumper - plus a restocking fee for the return. The review is wrong on both counts. Works perfectly with my iPhone4 - bumper and all. And I confirmed with the Apple store that if I had troubles there is no restocking fee if it is returned with all parts within 30 days.

No reason to return this, though - great sound, comfortable fit, and the redesign ensures the ear pieces don't fall off easily (as they did before). Thanks for the new and improved product, Bose!

LOVING every minute... once I got them open.

If you're like me and avoid in-ear sets because of discomfort these bad-boys are worth a try! They sit sort of half-in, half-out of your ear but are fully secure and comfortable. My ears don't start aching after an hour or two like with other in-ear sets. They sound great; better than the QC15s I exchanged them for. I'm rocking out to some Ben Folds as we speak! The in-line buttons are right where my brain and fingers thought they should be. I didn't have to pull the cord out in front of my face to find where the correct button was. They sound great in a call, and I don't have people asking "what?" all the time. They work with Voice Control and control everything just like your included Apple headset would.

Regarding the reviewer who said he couldn't plug it into an iPhone 4: they plug in fine. Your iPhone 4 needs to "beware" that you don't know where its headset plug is.

Regarding not being sweat proof: they don't claim to be. There's many that do, try those, or just don't exercise like me.

Pros: Great clean sound • Super comfortable

Con: The packaging. I hope someone at Bose reads this: Your packaging is unacceptable on this particular product. Have you guys tried opening these headphones after you seal them up with sharp hard plastic that is sealed on all sides? Take a lesson from apple on how to package a product. It should be enjoyable to unbox a $130.00 pair of headphones that someone is excited to use. Do you really want me using a sharp knife or scissors to open these, so I can cut through the cord? I didn't knock the stars down for this issue since it does not relate to the performance of the headphones but I was seriously bugged by this.

    Bose is my brand

I got these for Christmas and couldn't be happier. I try (as budge permits) to always buy Bose products. My brother got me the QuiteComfort headphones a while back and those are amazing because of the noise-cancelling technology. The only complaint I see on this headset is the lack of that feature, but people must understand they would need a power source to fulfill that. I wouldn't want any extra weight added to these in the form of some batter-sized compartment. There's no denying that these are the most comfortable and snug earphones you will ever use. I'm not an iPhone user and these are actually being used on my Windows Phone. Yeah, kind of comical on an Apple website but oh well. For the quality and support might I add from Bose, you cannot find a better buy than these!

The sound quality is amazing! The first ear bud I have ever put in my ear and actually had it stay there. You can even tug on the wire and they stay in your ear. Got these for a gift and I am very happy I did.

Lovely sound, rich base, crystal clear highs and amazing presence.

Perfect fit; light comfortable and can wear all day
    controls and mic work perfectly.

Very nice leather case also fits my iPhone with its case on (that is COOL)

The only drawback is they don't have background notice cancelling mic system.

I purchased the monster in ear headphones just to find out how cheap and poor the quality of that product was. After doing some research i purchased these bose headsets and love them. Very impressed with sound quality and constructed 1,000 times better then beats by dr dre headsets. Dont waste your time buying and trying other products, this product is great and well worth the money!!!

Ignore PB from NY's post. I bought the head set today and they work great with the iPhone 4. Just shove it in there! Most comfortable ear buds I have ever used and they have been in for 4 hours.

Now, if I can hear them over the Screaming Eagles on the Harley.......

    We shall see...

IPHONE 4 USERS BEWARE DO NOT BUY

    • Written by from Brooklyn

If you are an iPhone 4 user consider that the jack for this model DOES NOT fit as the standard Apple issued headset will in the headset hole IF you are using the bumper case.

Enjoy the 10% restocking fee for opening the headset and making the same mistake.

I give them 1 star because they were a great EAR fit. But for the intended purchase which Apple clearly states is compatible is false advertising and frustrating to have to pay for shipping and restocking to say the least.

    FAIL!

    Not sweat proof

    • Written by from KELSO

I have gone through many headsets for working out with the problem of sweat breaking the remote so you have no control over volume or song choices. The Bose are certainly the most comfortable earphones I have ever owned, but by the second visit to the gym the remote had stopped working. I returned them and now have ordered the Sennheiser earphones with hopefully better luck.

I just bought the Bose earbuds with the Mic and I couldnt be happier. I've tried several types trying to save money and its just been one disappointment after another. Quality costs a little bit more and I've found these to be exactly what I've been looking for. The sound is great, the Mic works like a charm without hollering into it. I dont have to turn the volume all the way up to hear my podcasts anymore. Oh year! Lifetime warranty.

    and one quick point,

my ears are shaped funny so i can't wear the Bose MIE originals but these new ones work fabulous (from personal experience, not made up)

    Sounds Great!

I use to have the Bang & Olufsen earphones. These were great earphones except for the fact that the cable would detach from the ear piece after extended pulling and tugging. After two of these, I decide to try something new for my iPhone. I tried the more expensive Apple earphones and the Shure top of the line. In fact, I only had to listen to both of them once to realize the sound quality was no where close to what I wanted. I was skeptical to try another Bose because I did not like the pair I bought about 2 years ago...muddy, too much bass. So I was torn between the very new Dr. Dre earphones and the Bose. At the end of the day, I was convinced by the solid reviews of the Bose to try it again. I have to tell you, there are excellent (not quite the dynamic range of the Bang & Olufsen) but very close. They stay in your ear, the bass the solid while the highs are crisp. I'm very happy with them!

Before i purchsed these i actually made apple buy and return almost every (in ear) headphones they owned in the store to make sure i was getting what i wanted. insane clarity and deep bass. being that i like 150 DB+ these could use a bit more UMPH for me. also i think their mic controls are amazing, however the mic itself catches lots of wind. bose should contact apple on how do filter the wind from the mic & apple should contact bose to learn to make a decent headphone. the only headphone that could keep up with these were the OVER EAR dre monster beats. they require batteries and are fragile, so these are the best product for music apple offers in the store. period.trust me i tried every single one.
