    Not for working out

Less than a week into use-volume button no longer works. Also, any kind of sweat while working out will get into remote switch and either cause songs to keep skipping, pause or advance. Needs some re-work.

I'm a big fan of Bose and all i buy is bose. But, I brought these bose head phones like 5 times. They sound great, and the base is amazing. But they are made very cheap. After like 2 or 3 months of using them, one side of the headphones go out. And this happened to all 5 bose headphones that i've brought. This also happened to my brothers headphones, and he went through 3 of them already. Great headphones, but very cheaply made. Sorry bose, needs more work.

These are the second Bose earbuds I have owned. I had the original in ear ones for two years but they finally broke (I dropped them in coffee at work...). I went looking for some new earbuds, I was hoping to get something with noise isolation this time, which is the one thing the Bose don't do. I tried some the Ultimate Ears 600, monster turbines, and a pair of shure earbuds in the same price range. Though they offer noise isolation, all three were vastly inferior in sounds quality and comfort. After trying six pairs or noise isolating earbuds in the same price range, I went back to the Bose. They are simply the only earbuds to own if your budget is under $200, they are unbelievebly comfortable- you can literally wear them for hours and forget that they are even in, and their sound quality is simply unbeatable for the price range, even some of the 200$ ones I tried were complete junk compared to the Bose's deep bass, clear mids and crisp highs.

    These will not disappoint.

    Bose Ear Buds

Excellent sound quality. By far the best ear buds ever. And, yes indeed, they do sound better over time. Only one complaint...none of the included ear pieces fit my ear to where they were comfortable and had great sound. I put my Sony pieces on them and shazaam.... EPIC sound quality and comfortable fit. Improve the fit and you have a truly unrivaled, magical product. I have never been disappointed with Bose and this product is no exception. Rock on...I know I will be doing so, as I am now. Perfect for traveling, excercising, or just chillin. Cheers

I have tried several in-ear headphone in this price range, and one considerably above- and I have found the MIE2i to be superior in most ways. The sound is very nice- I would only caution that you may find you have to raise the sound level a bit if you are used to ear canal type headphones. These are not sound isolating. I cannot comment yet on the build quality since I have been using them for only a couple of weeks. So far they seem sturdy, stay put in my ears, and sound great.

I've had the TriPort IE headphones and recently upgraded to the MIE2i headphones. I have to say they're great!! I love these headphones! Sound quality is awesome! Overall, I'm not disappointed with this investment.

    Clarity is great!

Just bought these, so still haven't given them enough time to "break in" (as they sound better after 30/40 hours of use.

BUT, the clarity is great. I could use a little more bass, but can live with what they deliver. BECAUSE, I have never tried a pair of earphone on that fit the ear so well. The engineers at BOSE got something right. As these earbuds sorta just "float" within your ears and don't come out. I work out a lot and they have yet to fall out when moving fast or shaken my head a lot.

So far so good and very happy with them.

    Excellent Sound but slightly disappointed...

After reading so many good reviews about this earphone, I have decided to give it a try. Firstly, no doubt the sound has very strong bass like everyone commented about. The only downside is the design of the ear bud. For some reason, it just doesn't fit well on my ear... I don't know if other people are experiencing the same problem as me, but the ear bud just doesn't quite go into my ear canal so I can't hear the sound as clear if I don't push it into my ear.

I resolved the problem by replacing the original Bose ear bud with my Sony in-ear ear buds, and immediately I feel much comfortable with it. Even though Bose ear bud looks quite stylish, it prevents the real sound to be heard if not pushed right into your ear canal. Noise can be heard everywhere with the Bose ear bud.. not ideal for those people who prefer some noise cancelling. Stylish design but kind of useless.

If you can do the same as me by replacing the ear bud, you can hear the true bass sound from your music. I won't give it 5/5 like most people.. and I won't say I'm 100% satisfied because I would still prefer my Sony earphone in some ways...

Another con is I find the cable a bit short. It could be better if it is slightly longer for convenience to reach from anywhere I place my iphone in a distance.

I guess it is worth adding to my earphone collection...

Ignore the pessimists with poor attitudes, these earphones rock!

I'm a Bose/B&O guy (basically an audiophile) so when I put 130.00 USD into earphones, I expect my money does not go to waste. For those concerned about the bass, or the lack of, can be reassured that this is only the result of bass-heavy products such as the Beats series, of which I can tell you are not quality audio products (I went out on a limb and purchased the Beats headphones and my eardrums came close to rupturing from the base; too much!).

These earphones, like the Bang & Olufsen EarSet 3i, are not noise canceling, so you will pick up ambient noise, however, do note you do NOT pick up wire distortion. That said, the bass and treble are balanced with the precision Dr. Bose envisions with every Bose product. I can tell you, however, the wire is a bit finicky when it comes to storage. Bose does include a protective leather case, as you can see/read, but if you do not keep the wire in a neatly wrapped state, you will experience tangles here and there.

If you are concerned that 130.00 USD is too much for earphones, I can tell you right now Bose hit the nail on the head. I would expect earphones with such superb sound and build quality to cost roughly 300.00 USD or more. Luckily, Bose did their homework and found the sweet spot.

    Waste of $$

First off, if you want noise cancelling headphones, this isn't it. I already knew that when purchasing them, but then quickly realized that unless I am at a quiet place, the great sound coming from it is quite useless, as you can barely enjoy the music in a loud setting.

Secondly, I've had TWO pairs break down on me within three months. YES, TWO pairs, both times with the mic/remote, and my iphone goes crazy everytime these are plugged in, shuffling through songs every few seconds, and changing volume on its own. It also activates voice control on its own on several occassions, though the mic is completely broken. They are currently out of stock with the company, so I am still waiting to get my second pair replaced.

These are like having my home Bose System in my head.
They are so comfortable, I forget I have them in when I press stop to talk to someone.
They are so good I can just turn down the music and carry on a conversation just like having a radio in the background!
Then when the cost is clear, turn them up and Wow!
    Thank you Apple and Bose.

I don't write many reviews, but felt these headphones deserve it. As a professional golfer, I've used many in-ear headphones. Beats, Shure, etc... They all were uncomfortable and/or poorly fit. With the Bose, I hardly know I have them on (make sure to try all the earpieces). Just a reminder: these aren't noise cancelling, and they don't "seal" the ear. You will be able to hear external noises. Sound wise, they're every bit as good as other premium in ear phones. I'm no audiophile, but it sounds very balanced- maybe a little heavy on the bass, but good mid's and high's. What really impresses me is the fit and comfort. With the clip, I can practice all day and not have an earpiece get loose, and I don't get sore like the others.

I bought this about 6 months ago.
I'm not sure about sound quality. I have motorola and apple's in ear bud.
Their sound qualities are about same. I mean, they are all good for sound quality.
BUT ONE THING IT STANDS OUT THE MOST IS....
It is very very comfortable. Some times I forgot that it is in my ear.
Also what so ever how I move my head, it is not falling from my ear.
It always stays in my ear. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!

    Qualilty Sound, Little volume

i purchased these headphones a week ago but i returned them, as i did love the perfect sound quality, but in vain to the fact that it doesn't cancel out the outside noise, i am not sure as to everyone's opinion but, having quality sound is useless when you cannot get the full grunt of the music..... i could have a full conversation while wearing the headphones on full volume, i did enjoy the crisp sound, but when it came to riding my bike, all i could hear was the wind, i had tried all the types of sizes and combinations of all....all never closed up the outer sound. I also found them dreadfully uncomfortable, the ear modelling, if you're not used to normal headsets, really push into your ear, causing discomfort. If you are going to use them in an office/classroom/or anywhere enclosed, then they are perfect, but outside and other places, they are useless.

    Avoids in-ear pressure build-up

    • Written by from Yuba City

I tried several different brands of in-ear headsets, and all did the same thing: they created pressure inside my ears because the silicone tips did not allow air to pass through. Of the ones I tried, only the Bose in-ear headset allowed air to pass through, thereby avoiding any pressure build-up while providing incredible sound. They do not filter outside noise, but they work perfectly for my needs.

    What are people thinking?

    • Written by from New York

Ok, they do say that they are not noise-isolating... I guess i just never guessed how frustrating that would be... could not resist urge to push them further in my ears all the time, as they block out almost NO ambient noise and even at FULL volume, are not loud enough.
Hated them for those reasons, just a heads up for the peeps that volume or any noise isolation (anyone who lives in NYC) is an issue.
