I love these headphones. They're very comfortable and sound great. I actually liked the Apple headphones that came with my iPhone4 but these sound much better, more depth and better clarity. Plus they sit and stay in my ear better. I tested them with Nirvana's Nevermind and Neil Young's Dreamin' Man, for contrast, and haven't looked back. They are on the expensive side but worth the money.

I bought the older version of these guys about 3 years ago, which was tuff paying this much for ear phones. I can easily tell you it was one of the best investments I have ever made!!

3 years later the sound quality is amazing and they are as good as the first day I bought them! If you want quality sound in your ears that is going to last you want these headphones!

These sound great, stay in your ears, are comfortable, have a great mic and controls, seem to be well made, and work as well for phone calls as they do for listening to music (no hearing too much of your own voice, isolating yourself too much to ambient noise,etc.). I've tried a lot of expensive earbuds, canal buds, etc., and always find one of these attributes lacking. But these Bose units are the whole package.

I have a drawer of headphones that just didn't work for me. Maybe I have funny ears. Finally found these and bought them instantly (also after reading everyone's reviews). Could not be happier...I feel I can do anything with these and they would stay put.

I have been a big fan of Bose for many years. I have several of their products, including a dock station for my ipod, surround sound with my TV in the family room and I have a Bose Sound system in my car which was a nice selling point for me when purchasing a vehicle after I graduated from college.

I bought the Bose earbuds when they first came out several, several years ago. I of course loved the sound they produced, but I've always had trouble getting any earbuds to stay in my ears. The first set, the little silicone pieces on them were loose and they would fall off in my purse all the time, or even if I was just carrying my headphones in my hand I would have to be careful not to loose one. I ended up countless times loosing them, and would stop in the Bose store and purchase new one. I went through at least 5 sets if not more, and Bose did get smart and began clustering extra buds in sets of 3 of one size. I use the small ones, and it was a waste to buy a set of 3 and only get one set that works for me. Plus with how my ears are shaped I could never get them to stay in my ears. I'm a runner, for pleasure and working out, and I would spend most of my 6 miles 1. pushing them back in my ears because they were about to fall out or 2. putting them back in after they did fall out. It was HUGE pain, but I love the sound quaility. I thought several times that I was just going to buy some cheap earphones/buds that go around the ear to run in.

Bose fixed my 2 biggest beef's with these new earbuds. 1. They put little plastic pieces on the earbud which makes you put a little effort into getting the silicone peices off instead of them just randomly falling off. 2. They finally put the little curved silicone peice on to fit in your upper ear so they no longer just fall out like the old ones. Never again will I use my old ones..... I'll give them away to someone who dosn't run. Thanks BOSE!!

Big step up to original IE headsets

Remember the poor reviews of the original headset because the silicone tips constantly falls off, whether everyday use or exercise? The StayHear tips now fixes that problem. Otherwise, audio quality is the same as the original with a slight design change.

First of, I usually don't waste my time in writing reviews. However, after purchasing these headsets, they're flat out, the BEST in both comfort and sound!! Simply Amazing! Worth every penny. I put them on right after I purchased them and I totally forgot I had them on.

    This product deserves 10 starts!

I just bought these, 11/26/10. I have had Klipsch, and Shure. With the new ear pieces, they don't even need to be crammed into your ear to get terrific sound. I just laid the new ear piece inside my ear and incredible sound began to flow out of them. Solid basses and crisp treble. No mud in the middle. Pricey, but after all aren't you worth it? The microphone picks up you voice like magic. The remote is placed very convenient. You go BOSE. What a winner. Well thought out and quality all the way.

I had these before the StayHear buds. Loved the sound and comfort, but they fell out of my ears so easily. That problem has been resolved and now I have the best earphones ever. You can even eat in these and not have them fall out. The sound is wonderful, too.

I am now at 35,000 feet and can hardly hear any background noise while my music is playing. I bought these last night looking to replace a Bluetooth headset. Wasn't sure about a wired set but I am glad I did. Sound is amazing, bought the klipsch earphones with mic, not good. They had flat sound and I listen to everything from tiesto to the boxer rebellion. Nothing sounded good to me so I got these instead. Can't get them out of my ears...
Music is very rich sounding, talk is pretty good, still need to test while driving. Very comfortable with all the extra tips, there's loads. Easy to start and stop music, easy to answer with the button control next to your jaw.

Over all I am impressed with the design and quality of these. To be honest, the price is fair for what you get. Oh' yeah the cord is cool looking too, they stand out over all others cords hanging from peoples ears.

I have a Bose Wave system that was left to me, and I had a fancy Bose system in my last car (Porsche 996) - both are/were not bad (except in terms of the retail price/performance calculus) but not great, so I thought I'd give these earphones a try. What they did was confirm my impression that Bose is very good at designing expensive products that create the illusion of quality but don't actually deliver it.

The physical build is fine - comfortable, seemingly rugged enough, good looking, etc. But the sound is typically Bose - very artificial, badly lacking in clarity and presence - but inoffensive to a middle group of listeners, and skillfully wrought to please people who don't have much experience listening to good quality sound reproduction gear. In that way they are just like the Wave and the car system and other Bose products I've listened to. Bose puts their real effort into visual design details and, above all else, into extremely slick marketing.

By far the best earphone sound-per-dollar value I've found are the Klipsch S4i. Just make sure you take a few minutes to get the fit right, and you'll be amazed by the difference between them and these Bose units.

The thing that sets this headset apart from the everything else on the market is the unique shape of the ear buds. They fit comfortably in my ears for hours and DON'T MOVE -- unlike every other ear bud and "canal bud" I've tried. The new StayHear tips look and feel a bit odd at first, but they really work. And Bose includes three tip sizes in the package. I also like being able to hear some outside noise with the headset on, especially when using them while running and cycling.

The sound quality is great. Much better than the standard Apple buds and probably comparable to other headsets in this price range. Again, I bought them mainly because they are comfortable and stay in my ears while running and cycling. The sound quality and iPhone controls are a nice bonus. Highly recommended!

I was skeptical when I first saw the tabs to hold the ear buds in place. I've never had luck with ear buds from any vendor. These work! Comfortable, light weight, and that beautiful Bose sound quality.

I absolutely LOVE this headset. The sound is awesome. They feel comfortable in the ear. They don't hurt like the earphones that came with the iphone and other earbuds. And I love the fact that they don't have the noise-canceling feature like some other ear buds. I use them during exercise and when I'm walking/jogging outdoors I still like to be aware of what's going on around me and that includes hearing other people, traffic, barking dogs, etc. So this headset is perfect for me. And with the clarity and fullness of the sound they are worth every penny they cost.

These really are fantastic - and I should know, as I own:

Bose QuietComfort 15 - I only use these on long, noisy journeys (trains/flights) for obvious reasons. Great sound (the noise cancelling technology is ASTONISHINGLY good). Bulky carry case.

Shure SE530 - brilliant but don't fit too well (and I've tried EVERY conceivable config of tip on them). These are by some distance the best sound quality I've heard when inserted correctly but I find that they end up working their way out as I'm walking along and are JUST NOT COMFORTABLE after a prolonged period of time.

Bowers & Wilkins P5 - AWESOME noise isolating headphones, but they are just that - HEADphones, so they're a bit bulky. Good for the daily commute to/from work as long as you carry a decent sized manbag for the slightly large case that they come with. Like the Bose QC15 headphones but better sound quality and an inline remote for control of your iPhone/iPod.

Bang & Olufsen A3/A8 - I own both these designs (A3 have a answer call/play/skip forward/back button, A8 just standard earphones) and wouldn't hesitate to recommend either - great sound and amazing design and very comfortable. But these are not comfortable with sunglasses (they have a hook that goes over your ear), so I wanted some to use whilst on holiday.

The build quality on the Bose MIE2i is top notch, and the sound quality is even better. These are an excellent compromise between canal and ordinary earbuds - they don't go so far into your ears so you feel like you're touching brain tissue when inserted, yet they're not traditional earbud design - they do go inside your ear canal slightly. The sound they produce is astonishing - clear, crisp high notes, and deep, tight, clear but not false-sounding, over-boomy lows. The remote is very handy for any changes you need to make whilst listening to audio or answering your iPhone. And unlike the white iPod/iPhone earbuds, they DO NOT MOVE. EVER.

    Highly recommended.

I was super excited to purchase them after reading reviews and finally bought them. The headphones are very crisp sounding with great highs and lows. The great thing about these which i first thought was a con is that you can still hear things around you. This allows you to actually talk on these and not hear an obnoxious echo. These headphones are pretty impressive and they literally lock in your ear and don't move. 2 thumbs way up!
