Best Bose in ear headphones yet. The Stay Hear tips are great. No more catching the cable on things and pulling the headphones out of your ear. They're comfortable and can be worn for hours. Only con for me is that the cable could be longer.

LOVING every minute... once I got them open.

If you're like me and avoid in-ear sets because of discomfort these bad-boys are worth a try! They sit sort of half-in, half-out of your ear but are fully secure and comfortable. My ears don't start aching after an hour or two like with other in-ear sets. They sound great; better than the QC15s I exchanged them for. I'm rocking out to some Ben Folds as we speak! The in-line buttons are right where my brain and fingers thought they should be. I didn't have to pull the cord out in front of my face to find where the correct button was. They sound great in a call, and I don't have people asking "what?" all the time. They work with Voice Control and control everything just like your included Apple headset would.

Regarding the reviewer who said he couldn't plug it into an iPhone 4: they plug in fine. Your iPhone 4 needs to "beware" that you don't know where its headset plug is.

Regarding not being sweat proof: they don't claim to be. There's many that do, try those, or just don't exercise like me.

Pros: Great clean sound • Super comfortable

Con: The packaging. I hope someone at Bose reads this: Your packaging is unacceptable on this particular product. Have you guys tried opening these headphones after you seal them up with sharp hard plastic that is sealed on all sides? Take a lesson from apple on how to package a product. It should be enjoyable to unbox a $130.00 pair of headphones that someone is excited to use. Do you really want me using a sharp knife or scissors to open these, so I can cut through the cord? I didn't knock the stars down for this issue since it does not relate to the performance of the headphones but I was seriously bugged by this.

Sound is fantastic. The middle size ear pieces that came already installed were exactly right. I can hardly feel them. Worth the price! Logging onto the Bose website, replacement ear pieces are 2 pairs $8.99 with free shipping. You can't beat that! Wonderful! Glad I spent the extra bucks! Very happy...rich clear sound.

I have been looking for a good set of earbuds that will actually stay in my ears but not be so bulky that they are uncomfortable around my ear. So after some trial and error with other products I finally decided to drop the cash on these. These are EXACTLLY what I was looking for. You get the "in ear" sound quality with the safety of a more conventional earbut since these are not noise cancelling. You can still hear the traffic, people, animals or whatever else is around you that could possiblly pose a danger while your walking, riding or skiing. Still don't need to sacrifice quality, sound or comfort. The silicone bud covers are very comfotable and secure. They don't harden in the bitter cold, nor do they become flexable during the warmer days.

    Bottom line- Perfect product.

If you're looking for headphones and want an excellent fit and excellent sound quality, these are the ones to buy. I personally am not a huge fan of noise isolation headphones because of the sounds they make when the headphone cord rubs your shirt or when you're walking or whatever so these were the perfect buy! Even without the noise isolation year deliver a clean, quality, sharp sound and they are quite comfortable. I just took my Beats by Dre Tour headphones back and bought these instead-I am very glad I did as these are obviously on another level of quality compared to the Tour Beats. Although the non-tangling cord was pretty cool. MIE2is kill it!

I have now gone through 4 yes 4 pairs of these in 6 months. In every case the remote unit failed. They sound superb but what's the point if the controls don't work?

Gone back to my old Sennheiser set. they don't sound as good but at least they work!

Great Sound Won't Stay in Ear

Deep full base and crisp at the higher frequencies but would not stay in my ear. I bought these with the hope I could use them while working out but I found myself constantly adjusting them while running. I tried the different sizes and tried using the 'stay hear' clips but did not have success so I ended up returning them. Having said that if you don't plan on being too active while using these will suit that purpose perfectly.

After spending a lot on cheap headphones, I received these as a gift, and they are simply amazing. They do not hurt your ear, the sound quality is outstanding. I thought they would not be as good as over the ear headphones, but I was very wrong. These are fabulous, and so worth the high price tag. You won't regret it.

Very comfortable, but the cord is ugly

This pair of headphones is very comfortable and fits nicely into the ears. Unlike other earphones, this pair doesn't drop out of your ears no matter how you move. It also requires no periodical adjustments and will stay nicely for a long time.

The inline control works great on the iPhone and MacBook Pro and is very accessible. Microphone also works well without requiring one to hold it near the mouth to get better voice quality during a conversation.

The only reason I'm giving this product a 4-star is because of the cord. It would look much better and fit better with the style of the iProducts if it's all black or all white, but not like how it is now.

Overall, this is money well spent. It works as advertised and pleases me with the very comfortable "StayHear" tips. It would be a 5-star product had the cord looked nicer.

    Not for working out

Less than a week into use-volume button no longer works. Also, any kind of sweat while working out will get into remote switch and either cause songs to keep skipping, pause or advance. Needs some re-work.

I'm a big fan of Bose and all i buy is bose. But, I brought these bose head phones like 5 times. They sound great, and the base is amazing. But they are made very cheap. After like 2 or 3 months of using them, one side of the headphones go out. And this happened to all 5 bose headphones that i've brought. This also happened to my brothers headphones, and he went through 3 of them already. Great headphones, but very cheaply made. Sorry bose, needs more work.

These are like having my home Bose System in my head.
They are so comfortable, I forget I have them in when I press stop to talk to someone.
They are so good I can just turn down the music and carry on a conversation just like having a radio in the background!
Then when the cost is clear, turn them up and Wow!
    Thank you Apple and Bose.

The Best Headset I Have Ever Owned!

The product is exactly what it says it is, clear and natural sound. The StayHear ear tips are priceless and are in my opinion more comfortable than the ear buds you stuff in your ear and pop out sometimes. The controls on the headset were a plus for me. Great product very pleased with my purchase. I would highly recommend these to anyone, especially those people who run or work out. I am a big fan of Bose products and I must say they never seem to disappoint me.

Comfortable fit, but very thin bass response

    • Written by from Indianapolis

This Bose headset is comfortable to wear and it stays in place in your ear. But I want to tell you, the reproduced bass frequencies are not just low, attenuated or muted -- it's like, by design, they just don't exist.

I bought the MIE2i at my local Bose retail shop, and upon returning them a couple days later for refund, I asked one of the Bose employees about this issue of such thin bass response and he admitted that, in his experience selling many of them, it is a problem across the the whole line of MIE2i headsets. He agreed, candidly, that this is more than just a subjective issue of low "perceived bass," but that for very many of the MIE2i headsets there is quite nearly NO bass response.

If I were you, I wouldn't get my hopes up that you'll purchase one of the Bose units with intact bass response -- I would just spend my money elsewhere. I decided to take a chance on Apple's own upgraded in-ear headphones, and after four months of daily use I am still quite happy with them -- sound (the overall musicality, including bass), fit and durability are all great.

    PERFECT!!!!!

I had these before they had the sure-fit ear buds and was not to thrilled with them. I have reventured to them after a few trial and errors and I have to tell you they are amazing! Just AMAZING!

I do a lot of music production, general listening all the time, working out, everything and I am all about the sound quality and headphones. I have a pair of Beats by Dre Solo Headphones which are great but I was looking for a great pair of Earbuds considering I blew out my Apple ones. I went out and bought the iBeats by Dre and put on one or two songs and they were pretty good. I dont mind the noise cancellation but something seemed to be missing. I then went to the Bose store because they let you try out their headphones (earbuds included) and I heard such a difference. I am not sure if it was the sound quailty, the volume control or what but they were better overall.

I now dont go anywhere without them. I am eager to try them out running and I think they will be perfect because the problem I had with other headphones was they would slip out when I sweat! So we shall see.

    Bose hands down AWESOME!

I am now at 35,000 feet and can hardly hear any background noise while my music is playing. I bought these last night looking to replace a Bluetooth headset. Wasn't sure about a wired set but I am glad I did. Sound is amazing, bought the klipsch earphones with mic, not good. They had flat sound and I listen to everything from tiesto to the boxer rebellion. Nothing sounded good to me so I got these instead. Can't get them out of my ears...
Music is very rich sounding, talk is pretty good, still need to test while driving. Very comfortable with all the extra tips, there's loads. Easy to start and stop music, easy to answer with the button control next to your jaw.

Over all I am impressed with the design and quality of these. To be honest, the price is fair for what you get. Oh' yeah the cord is cool looking too, they stand out over all others cords hanging from peoples ears.
