Had the models without the mic before these. The mic and iTunes controls just adds convenience to an already astounding set of ear buds. Wouldn't buy any other pairs.

These headphones are the best out there!! I've tried Klipsch Image s4's, dr dre tours, apple in ears, skullcandy, and v-modas. These have great clarity, deep base, nice, crisp highs and lows, doesn't distort sound at high volume, VERY comfortable eartips, and a great price! These are great for exercising too, just use the stay hear ear tips that fit you. It feels like nothing's there! The headphones aren't made for noise isolation but has enough for you to not be able to hear a loud t.v. when watching from several feet away. Overall, great headphones!!

I don't usually write reviews on much of anything unless I am thoroughly impressed or unimpressed on a product. I figure I should do the public a service in pointing them in the right direction or warning them not to waste money in the fairest way I can. This is really for the former: These Bose earbuds honestly SURPRISED me. After reading nearly all the other reviews I opted to give Bose a shot. I wasn't sure about the security of the new design of earpieces but I can say, in all honesty, that they really do stay put! These are replacing a well used pair of Shure earbuds with foam pieces that would irritate my ear canals after long use. No discomfort here. At all. The are surprisingly light-weight and as evidenced by their fit and finish, I know they will hold up to vigorous exercise. Nice inclusion of a shirt clip to keep things put. But what SURPRISED me was the sound quality. These Bose earbuds are so rich in bass, dynamic midrange and treble isn't harsh even at extreme volumes (I really crank it up when I work out...motivation, you know). For tonal quality these make my old Shures sound embarrassingly stale. Even though these do not seal completely inside one's ear canals (like my old Shures)...the sound is so bold that surrounding noises like conversations or TV are simply not an issue. But this is coming from MY ears. Everyone's preferences are different as they should be. However, I DO NOT joke around when it comes to my music. I've tried several different brands over the years and these are, in my humble opinion, the best I've had. Hope this helps, Everyone!

I cannot recommend these headphones enough. I was afraid my oddly shaped ears wouldn't take to the stay fit and the sound wasn't going to be substantial enough to warrant the price. I was wrong. They fit very well and are very comfortable, no stretching my virginal earlobes. The sound is unbelievable. I'm no "audiophile" (nor do I want to be one), but the first time you hear a song through these, you'll be happy with your purchase.

If you are looking for a high quality substitute for the standard I phone head phones (ie your rubbers wore off to!!!) these are probably going to be the head phones you end up with. I spent a month purchasing many head phones for the i phone all in ear models. I tried monster (beats by dre) sony and i purchased these. trust me, if you have trouble with in ear bud fit no matter what you do, these will work for you. The in ear fit is superb they limit sound entering the ear and maximize the purity of the tunes you enjoy. The controls are surprisingly nice to use, especially if you have larger hands.

this being said there is only one complaint... these need to be standard for the i phone ... and I would have liked it in white.

After having the Dr. Dre Beats taken from my hand by an Apple Store salesman, and replaced with the Bose MIE2i's, I have been nothing less than amazed! I wish I could go back and thank the very nice lady who sensibly placed these in my hands. The sound is amazing. The earbuds are extremely comfortable, and at times I have almost forgotten that I was wearing them. For those saying, "The sound sounds distant" and/or "They aren't loud enough." You have to keep in mind that Bose is not advertising these as "noise canceling" headphones. However, don't let that fool you. These things can certainly block out a noisy street, or a rambunctious 3 year old niece.

With that said, I loves these in-ear monitors, and wouldn't ever dare to trade them for Dr. Dre Beats.


PS. I have an iPhone 4 with the Apple given bumper case, and have had no problem with the Bose MIE2i's fitting. No connection problems or anything. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I got this for Christmas and was going to exchange the product for something else until I read all the positive reviews about the earphones. Frankly, I've been a devoted "Apple In-Ear Headphones" user for 6 yrs and I love the sound quality, bass, and value for the price! But I was curious b/c the Bose earphones were getting such positive reviews.

I just tore open the box and after a few minutes of comparing the Apple In-Ear Headphones to the Bose, I am sticking with Apple! Hands down! The Bose doesn't get very loud (you gotta really crank it up and use more battery life) and the bass is really weak compared to the Apple In-Ears. Perhaps I am missing something but I just tried my classic Miles Davis and some Kanye tracks and the Apple In-Ear Headphones are the clear winner for me!

Lastly, the Bose MIE2i's plug is too thick around the jack so it doesn't plug in when you have the iPhone4 bumper on! So BE WARNED in advance!

after going through 3 pairs of the earbuds that come with the iphone, i finally broke down and dished out the money for the Bose earbuds. WORTH EVERY PENNY! the other ones never stayed in my ear, the speakers would blow out after a few months and they were uncomfortable. these are so comfortable, they STAY in without having to continually adjust them and the sound is amazing. I highly recommend these.

I am among the people that are easily aggravated by headphones, and I have finally been satisfied. The Bose MIE2i headphones have an amazing fit in my ear (plus there are 5 other pairs of earbud tips included so you can find the fit that is perfect for you) and I can't shake them out. They are very comfortable to wear and the controls on the wire are very useful and functional. In terms of performance, these headphones easily outperform the competition. I have never heard better sound from a pair of headphones. I highly recommend these headphones to anyone looking to enjoy their music in peace and comfort.

This review is based on previous owning the apple headphones and monster dibby beats control talk. These headphones actually stay in my ears! I have pretty small ears so usually I need to wear the smallest earbuds. The mie2i earbuds are light and stayed in my ears even after running 5 miles. I like the fact that these aren't inner ear canal headphones, and they sit right outside your ear canal. I think that makes them more comfortable than other headphones I have tried on. It is simple to use, comfortable, lightweight, and I believe its the best headphone out there for small ear folks like myself.

I've bought other headphone eartips ( monster supertips) and these bose earbuds are a better fit. So I am a very happy customer.
