    Sounds Great!

I use to have the Bang & Olufsen earphones. These were great earphones except for the fact that the cable would detach from the ear piece after extended pulling and tugging. After two of these, I decide to try something new for my iPhone. I tried the more expensive Apple earphones and the Shure top of the line. In fact, I only had to listen to both of them once to realize the sound quality was no where close to what I wanted. I was skeptical to try another Bose because I did not like the pair I bought about 2 years ago...muddy, too much bass. So I was torn between the very new Dr. Dre earphones and the Bose. At the end of the day, I was convinced by the solid reviews of the Bose to try it again. I have to tell you, there are excellent (not quite the dynamic range of the Bang & Olufsen) but very close. They stay in your ear, the bass the solid while the highs are crisp. I'm very happy with them!

Bose Control switch on cord falls apart with use

    • Written by from Green Cove Springs

It's a shame that the tiny flimsy rubber coverings on the in-line control switch comes off (rips) with time under nornal use, making the volume controls useless, and exposing the switch cavity. I have two pairs of the Bose earphones. Both sets failed, and need I say how expensive they are? I am not buying these again.

Nothing before stayed in my ears, and these I can actually sleep on

The title says it all, really. Regular earbuds just won't stay in my ears and/or they begin to hurt after a short time. These are quite comfortable, stay in with no problem, and give excellent sound. An unexpected bonus is that I find that I can actually wear them in bed and put one ear into my pillow. Thus I can go to sleep to music and not disturb my partner. I'm a classical music fan, and for that you cannot go wrong with Bose sound.

Don't buy if you work out - 1 drop of sweat and mic/remote is gone

Great sound (really amazing), phantastic fit, that would be five stars, really: Only that after my 1st(!) treadmill workout both the volume control and the mic packed up. absolutely over-sensitive. I used Sennheisers with mic & remote before, absolutely no problem in the gym. Now I have a brand-new 110 pound broken headset - great.

    Recommended for awkward ears!

I've gone through several pairs of headphones over the last decade, and never really found a pair that had the right combination of: 1) Staying in my ears, 2) Not hurting my ears, 3) Having decent bass, and 4) Not being offensive to anyone around me.

Being completely honest, this headset doesn't do it all either, but it's the closest I've had so far. (Just for reference, I've gone through: Etymotics, Skull Candy, Beats, Senheisser, etc...).

The tips don't stay in my ear canal, but the silicone wing keeps it in place by locking into the cartilage around it - and is quite comfortable with no pressure or hurting feeling. They don't "wiggle" out after walking or jogging (which has happened with every pair before this). If you have awkward ears like I do, this may be the pair for you.

Since they don't quite fit in my ear canal, I can hear outside noise easily (but I prefer that, since I'm always paranoid that someone is yelling at me / want to hear subway announcements). Though nobody has complained, I'm worried others around me will think it's too loud. I was worried that would all mean that the bass would be inaudible, but it's surprisingly good, though not amazing. The mids and trebles are clear, and I can hear individual instruments (I think). I listen to top 40 and dance, so take my evaluation of bass and sound with a huge grain of salt. I'm also biased because my last pair were Beats, which many say are unnecessarily "bass-y".

Overall, I recommend them, as they're the closest match to my wish list so far.

    Great for everyday mobile use

Like I say, great for everyday mobile use. Sound is great, all things considered, but not outstanding. To me, these are the most comfortable in-ear headphones available. I fall asleep with these on -- low volume, of course. They are durable, although I decided not to wear them in super sweaty situations like working out or mowing the yard as the sweat may get into the mic and short out (temporarily) the inline mic control. And the ear bud thingys actually stay attached, a real bonus compared with other in-ear headphones.

I just pulled these out of the box and used them for a conference call on my cell phone (btw ... they also work with Blackberry Bold). The sound clarity and quality is fantastic and they are so comfortable that you don't even realize your wearing them ... the standard size "grips" that came on them fit me perfectly. I didn't give them 5 stars because I think the cord needs to be just a little bit longer. But, I honestly don't know how you could top the sound quality and clarity. I've owned numerous in-ear headsets and these are, by far, the best I've tried.

I bought the Bose In-ear headphones after my Beats Tour headphones broke. And I have to say that they stay in our ear way better and sound just as good, if not better in my opinion.

I've tried numerous Mobile ear pods and was never satisfied until I purchased these. I have been slowly losing my hearing over a period of about 30 years. No cell phone could provide the quality of hearing I needed to carry on a conversation and actually understand it. I now use the Alera hearing aids. Even so, it was almost impossible to use ear pods because the hearing aids were inserted into the ear canal. They were all inferior and would fall out within minutes. Then came these Bose ear pods! The soft "hooks" keep the Bose "ears" in the ear canal and are extremely comfortable. The sound quality and clarity are excellent. There is no comparison. Hands down, it's Bose.

Very happy with the Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset. It's quite amazing that songs I've been listening for literally decades and thought I knew the lyrics to, the MIE2i revealed that I was wrong! That's how clear the music is and this clarity is present across the entire volume range. It's almost like these are high def audio headset if there is such and animal. They are very comfortable and the integrated 3-way Pause/Answer phone, volume switch is extremely convenient. I was a little concerned about the price when I ordered them and when I cracked the seal on the box and as I removed them from the packaging and as I inserted them into my ears. However, as I sampled my play lists for the first 5 hours the concern about the price melted away as I found that my hearing was not as bad as my old headset made me think it was.

    Longevity is the only issue

I loved these when I first get them. But they just don't last when I run. I've had two sets now and the latest has done the same thing. The plastic piece on the volume control just breaks and falls off. The first time I thought it was a fluke so bought another pair. Then the same thing happened to the second pair.

If you just want a few months or don't work out with them, these are awesome.

    Great match for the iphone

I have always appreciated Bose for their products although they are slightly on the pricey end. I read quite a lot of reviews before buying these and Bose review base is binary, you have people dissing them or loving them, I am falling to the latter after using this for over a year. I was looking for a good pair of headphones for everyday use. I was considering the Bose OE2i Audio Headphones vs Grado Prestige Series SR-60i initially but I could not use them practically everywhere, running, household chores etc, I tend to sleep with my headphones on so they had to be an in ear set.

The IE2s are well made, the ear attachments take a while to get used to but once you find the right one they stay put. I had a couple of issues with my controller buttons not working and had to exchange them twice (hence the 3 stars instead of 4), the third set is working allright, except for that, they are top notch. The sound is well balanced, my music choices range Classical Indian music to trance, and this delivers them perfectly the base allocation is just right and hits the soft notes and the pumping sounds equally well. These sound just perfect for every variety you might throw at them, Overall I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a good pair of in-ear headphones

    its quality for money...

as title says... paying 7650 for earphones is quite bit odd thing. but after purchasing it one realizes its difference in terms of sound quality and comfort. it fits very comfortably in ear and sounds great. in day to day traveling in Mumbai Locals and in the traffic it gives good feel as u can hear the beats and music so clearly and that to without increasing the volume to blast your ears. i find this very useful as hearing the music at loud which we require to do if we are traveling in trains or halt in mid of the traffic which ultimately leads to pain in both ear and head. iPhone 4s along with this earphones is a great combination.

i used the old ones and now the new ones and both times i loved the sound quality, deep bass and comfort. i use it for gym, outside, in bed, pretty much everywhere. surprisingly they just keep looking as new and function perfectly. i dont really see where there's a problem reading other peoples comments here.

this is a perfect product, just like the iphone 4 and 4s and it should be applauded. well done bose.

would buy a new version anytime again.

    Not sweat proof

I have gone through many headsets for working out with the problem of sweat breaking the remote so you have no control over volume or song choices. The Bose are certainly the most comfortable earphones I have ever owned, but by the second visit to the gym the remote had stopped working. I returned them and now have ordered the Sennheiser earphones with hopefully better luck.

    Unsolicited Callout!

I recently exchanged my iPod Nano at Apples Store using their repair service because I was experiencing unsolicited callouts. I would constantly hear the artist name and song, skip to next track, pause, etc. without asking for it. I use Nike+ and my iPod would pause, stop and call out my training without asking for it. When I started using my new iPod I experience the same symptoms as my old iPod. I used a different headphone and the problem was resolved.

I was skeptical when I first saw the tabs to hold the ear buds in place. I've never had luck with ear buds from any vendor. These work! Comfortable, light weight, and that beautiful Bose sound quality.
