This thing worked for about 2 months then broke. I still have yet to find a good iPod car adapter. I have tried at least 5 and they all end up breaking in the end.

My other half bought this for me as the cd player in our car isn't working. This one was recommended as being one of the best, most powerful (and most expensive - cost is $100.00 where we live) one on the market. The sound is terrible, really static-y and I spend the whole trip driving around constantly searching for a "better" station and never finding one which is incredibly annoying. Even the app that uses the GPS to find the best frequency is a load of rubbish as all of the recommended stations it comes up with are far worse than my "best" station. Also, when driving around in certain areas I can very slightly improve the sound by holding the device up in the top of the windscreen - so convenient to drive like that. NOT. And besides, the cord isn't even long enough for me to hang it up in a spot that receives better reception so it's a lose lose situation. It's a shame I had to rate it one star because it doesn't deserve it. Do not bother!

This is my second car radio adapter from the Apple Store. Strike two. This one produces too much static. I have tried many, many frequencies. Yes, there are many stations in my area, but this device does not have the power to get within the discrimination capabilities of my Toyota's radio. Also, the connector is too big and requires me to take the Apple cover off my iPhone 4 to make a connection. Uggh.

I bought this because my old one broke. This is a piece of junk. The static is horrible and the auto tune is a joke. If I could give this zero stars, I would. Stay away from this product. I'm returning mine as soon as possible.

Difficult to find a clear frequency, cable and ipod disconnect easily. I wanted to avoid the cassette cord tornado of death, but this is not the answer.

    My Search Continues

I bought this when I bought my iPhone 4. It worked sometimes. It was very static prone. I could hold it up to my dashboard and it would get clearer or hold it towards the roof but like I'm going to do that while driving around. The fact that it didn't have a holder was annoying. I had to just lay it on my seat so it kept sliding around everywhere. I returned it to get one with a dock but that was a bomb also. So my search for the perfect transmitter continues.

I wish i could return and take my money back! Does not work most of the times and when it does the sound quality is bad! I would rather pay double and have a reliable (as promised at least) system than system!
