    Beware clear plastic warps cracks

This product is poor. Left in a hot car but not in direct sun, the clear plastic warped badly. I could only use touch screen by removing it from case.
Today the clear plastic cracked wide open. Lucky the phone held on by headphone cord.
This is not up to apple standards and should be removed from store.

Bad quality. The plastic layer of my brand new armband is already folded when I unpack it. The folded line is at least 2cm long.

iPhone 4 ruined after 7mo usage

I used to run with my old Nano, but when I got my iPhone 4 in December, quickly switched over to it to get GPS tracking on my runs. Having used the Nike neoprene armband for years, I selected the InCase Sports Armband, because it most closely resembled the one I was so used too.

After 7mo of fair use (3-4mi a day, 3d a wk) the case completely failed me. Long story short, sweat got into the bottom right speaker, seeped behind the screen, and has now caused a permanent stain in behind it. I wrote to InCase, hoping they would at least respond enough to tell me I was on my own, but I didn't even get a courtesy robo-reply, only silence. I am guessing the sweat damage has also triggered the moisture sensors, so now Apple wont even touch the phone, so there goes my Apple Care as well. And no, I did not get the phone wet or run in the rain with it.

Also, part of the clear screen sewn to the neoprene has already started to separate.

I am am giving this case a 1-star because I believe it failed in the most rudimentary tasks a "Sports Band" should perform: Protect the device from sweat.

The cheap plastic front cracked after 2 weeks of normal use. I bought the Belkin and they use a higher quality plastic front.

Seriously I'm getting good karma for writing this review because it's saving you money for something better. My phone broke the plastic layer the 4th time I used it. Now the moisture has shriveled the plastic making a kind of popping noise you get from a plastic water bottle whenever you touch it. So not only will this thing look super ghetto within a couple of weeks you'll also create attention with the freaking noise of it.

DON'T EVEN THINK OF BUYING THIS USELESS POS. I have gone through 4 of these in as many months! Unfortunetly I can't get my money back so Apple and Incase have replaced it 3 times already, and I am now requesting the 4th. I like the way the item fits, and the velcro closure.

What is clearly the major design flaw is that you place the phone in a flat slot that has no real pocket for the phone to fit. When you wear the armband, your arm will force the phone forward and the sharp edge of the iPhone cuts right through the plastic front causing your phone to fall out! All they had to do was not have the plastic go all the way to the edge of the phone and it would probably work. Instead I am out $45, and despite my efforts, Incase just won't give me credit to use on another product.

    Great for Working Out

I purchased this to avoid dropping my iPhone 4 while on the treadmill at & after a month of use, I love it. My arms are a bit more lean than body builder-muscular & the strap adjustment holds my iPhone in place perfectly. I will say, my movements while strapped in are very steady & paced- I rarely do any type of hard core running but in my experience the item has worked great. Considering that you might do more running than me- you can always try the product & return after 30-days if anything. It's sleek, matches my gym get-ups & fits comfortably on my arm.

Purchased from Apple Store. Had good luck with other inCase products, but this one was a bummer. Ran with on (2) Occasions during first week, logging approx. 12 miles. Touch screen functionality is surprisingly good through clear plastic protector, but hinders ability to use main control button. Apparently, other similar arm bands don't have this problem (see Tune Belt products). Clear plastic screen protector is fairly rigid & split in two places while attempting to use iPhone 4 main control button following my second run. Arm band is now damaged & of no use. Promptly returned product to Apple Store & got refund. I'm now I'm back in the market for a running arm band.

Other things to consider: This arm band is designed to be used with naked iPhone 4. This is fairly common with many arm bands. So, be prepared to shed your cover, case, or skin to use this product.

    Pros:
    - Fairly comfortable neoprene band with full phone coverage.

    Cons:
    - Clear screen protector restricts use of iPhone control button.
    - Neoprene may allow moisture into phone carrier & contact phone or phone internals
    - Will only support naked iPhone 4
    - Damaged on second use

Thanks Apple Store for accepting return. You take pride in ensuring that customers are satisfied with Apple products & after market products that you offer.

I'd like to punch the designer of this armband in the throat. It's almost impossible to find the home button while running and the plastic sticks out so far that it makes operating the phone almost impossible. One of the worst purchases I've made in years. I expect better from the products stocked in the Apple store and only bought it because I was in a rush. Never again.

    Junk

This was recommended to me at the Apple Store in Ann Arbor for my iPhone 3Gs. It is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. I bought this 5 months ago. The initial problem I had with it is that the home button on the iPhone is almost impossible to press through the plastic case, rendering the case useless for much iPhone navigation. Two months after purchasing it, the plastic cracked on the side of the case, making this case no longer safe for holding the phone. Worst of all, the velcro on the back of the case has come loose, so it no longer secures the iPhone at the top. This is a terrible, overpriced, poorly functioning product.

I can't believe I spent $45.00 on a product that barely lasted a month. I run about 4 miles a day, 5 days a week, so I'm a somewhat hardcore runner. The armband lasted about 2 weeks before the following occurred:

    1. The plastic cracked on both sides of the armband, causing the phone to fall out!
    2. The label that secures the phone doesn't stick anymore since my sweat detached the glue that was holding the velcro together. Now I can't "stick" the cover
    3. The armband isn't very strong and it keeps slipping down to my arm. I'm used to having it across my biceps

This is after 2 1/2 weeks! I'd demand a refund, but the Apple Store doesn't cover personal wear and tear. Stay away!
