Reviews for Incase Sports Armband Pro for iPhone 4

After searching for the Nike+ armband in stores and having no luck, I turned to the Apple Store. I found this armband and researched it online, mostly to find negative reviews. I decided to give it a go anyways and spend the $39 for this armband. Let me say, I am glad Apple has a 2 week product return policy because this armband is going right back to the store.

After only 2, short, 5k runs with this armband, the plastic on the front is cracking, and even though I do not have huge biceps this armband makes it feel like I'm getting my blood pressure taken. The "cord management" system is the biggest crock I've ever seen, and as 1 reviewer said on here previously, it won't be long before that cheap piece falls off. Try accessing the volume buttons on this baby, again virtually impossible and certainly not as easy as it should be for almost $40.

It fits in like the armband should fit, but the unfortunate issue is the screen isn't touching the plastic screen cover so there's a small gap and you can't really get a feel on the screen.Easier way to sum it up is the screen doesn't come in contact with the arm band so it's tough to touch the screen. Everything else is fine. Incase has always made great armband, but this is a disappointment.

I used to run with my old Nano, but when I got my iPhone 4 in December, quickly switched over to it to get GPS tracking on my runs. Having used the Nike neoprene armband for years, I selected the InCase Sports Armband, because it most closely resembled the one I was so used too.

After 7mo of fair use (3-4mi a day, 3d a wk) the case completely failed me. Long story short, sweat got into the bottom right speaker, seeped behind the screen, and has now caused a permanent stain in behind it. I wrote to InCase, hoping they would at least respond enough to tell me I was on my own, but I didn't even get a courtesy robo-reply, only silence. I am guessing the sweat damage has also triggered the moisture sensors, so now Apple wont even touch the phone, so there goes my Apple Care as well. And no, I did not get the phone wet or run in the rain with it.

Also, part of the clear screen sewn to the neoprene has already started to separate.

I am am giving this case a 1-star because I believe it failed in the most rudimentary tasks a "Sports Band" should perform: Protect the device from sweat.

This armband is not a quality product. The plastic cover is too stiff and it creased the first time I tried to put my phone inside. Within 5 uses the plastic split along the edge and now the phone is not secure. (This is without trying to operate the phone through the too stiff plastic cover) The Velcro closure also separated from the back of the armband so it no longer secures the phone. The Velcro was glued and not stitched so a little sweat caused the glue to fail. I am very unhappy with this product and will not buy a replacement from this company. Hoping to find a better product soon!

Bought it based on the cord holder, which turns out to just be a piece of velcro attached to the side, a loose piece at that. The plastic on the front is very rigid and first week I had a white line down the middle of it where it had bent, then the plastic started to break away from the case. 100% disappointed in the quality of this case.

Read the all the negative comments and they are spot on. The plastic cover ripped after 2 weeks. They should be giving these away for free (and I would still not take one)....look at another product.

I bought this product stoked that i could listen to my iphone while protecting it with yet, another great incase product!... I WAS WRONG! I have never been let down by incase and have purchased incase products since my first Ipod... Never have I ever been so disappointed in the quality. I can't believe they even put their name on this armband! don't buy! @ $50 some odd dollars with tax of course it lasted a whole 30 days and the stiff plastic face cover cracked causing my phone to fall out!

I had this armband for maybe 2 months before the plastic window broke. As others have mentioned, the touch screen also doesn't work well through the thick plastic. While the touch screen problems are forgivable, the durability is pathetic for a workout accessory. Don't buy.

Ditto most of the other reviews. I wish I had read before wasting money on this dud. Plastic ripped apart after a few months of use and the home button was virtually useless. Still looking for the sports armband that is funtional and durable. This one isn't it.

This product is poor. Left in a hot car but not in direct sun, the clear plastic warped badly. I could only use touch screen by removing it from case.
Today the clear plastic cracked wide open. Lucky the phone held on by headphone cord.
This is not up to apple standards and should be removed from store.
