just plugged them in, took about 2 minutes from opening the box. So easy to set up, the sound is pure! they look really futuristic due the transparent material. They fit the surrounding area with the mac really well, it all works together simply. Top class product, would defiantly recommend!

I've had these speakers for several years. I LOVE them! I used them with my personal, old fashioned, CD player, for music at a wedding, and they worked PERFECTLY! You can use them with anything that has a headphone jack! I use them daily, with my computer and I would be lost without them. The sound is rich and, to me, doesn't miss a tone! I'd encourage anyone to have them! I bought them for my daughter and son in law! They love them too!

The Soundsticks III are great. The bass unit was a little bit bigger than I imagined but the sound from these is amazing. Great for the price.

Until someone invents completely cordless electronics, these speakers and subwoofer are perfect. Beautiful design and mind-blowing sound. Completely transforms the experience of listening to music and watching movies to a different level. Excellent quality for the price and highly recommended.

This is an amazing set of speakers. The subwoofer provides enough bass for every hip hop song, and even the monitor speakers kick in a little bass as well. They play every type of music very well, and are very sharp. The only complaint i have is that the bass adjuster is on the subwoofer, which is typically under something, which is annoying. Besides that, i would recommend these for any person looking for a great relatively inexpensive pair of speakers. They work great for a desk in a closed room, and can be turned up very very loud. Expected the quality of these speakers for a larger price. They are awesome and handle bass and all the sound very well. I am very satisfied and would not buy another set from anyone else except for Harman/Kardon!

Alright, for a while these speakers were great, until about a year later when they recently just lost a lot of sound. For the price, never buying them again.

I got these as a Christmas gift. I was very happy to get them. They were highly rated, great reviews, and thought they looked amazing. Tried them out and they played out of one speaker. Took them back and the apple store said "usually shipping will cause that", so reluctantly I traded them for another pair...not the same issue but they didn't have a good sound. Tried plenty of different songs and they all had the same static to them. I really wanted these so bad but unfortunately I'm not willing to try again...

I've always admired Harmon Kardon and after purchasing the SoundStick III sound system I'm reminded why. I'm absolutely amazed at the acoustics these speakers put out. The bass is controllable so you can adjust it to your needs and you can easily mute the system. I would definitely recommend this system. I took my time choosing the best sound system and for this price I'm very happy with my decision.
