Reviews for Harman Kardon SoundSticks III 2.1 Channel Sound System

Let me set the record straight, just like the last reviews...anyways, these speakers are some of the best I've heard! Just plugged them in about an hour ago, and let me tell you that across the range (Steely Dan to Metal) the speakers have a very balanced output and great bass reflex! Man, My day just better!

If I could only give eleven stars.

I was originally going to buy a pair of BOSE desktops but having heard good things and liking the odd look of the HKs I thought that I would give them a try. I must say that they are very very good, my room dimensions are approximately 7' x 14' and they easily create a very nice full sound without the need to turn them up particularly loud, a great choice of bass via the switch on the Jellyfish sub woofer, current settings. 3 quarter volume on the HKs and 4 clicks on the iMAC volume, an all round excellent speaker.

These are AMAZING! The frequency range says 40 Hz-20 kHz, but I ran a frequency test and could hear 30 Hz!!! I consider myself picky about speakers' sound quality and I love these bad boys. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED!!!

These speakers are incredible. The sound quaility is amazing. Even with the volume turned all the way up the sound is still crisp and clear with no distortion on the sub. With the speakers turned all the way up, only 1 notch on the macs volume control is plenty audible, its louder than the built in mac mini speakers turned all the way up. And not only do they sound great they look great to :). I would recomend these speakers to anyone. They also came with an adapter to plug in red and white cables so if you wanted to you could hook up a TV or even a record player to these.

I bought these speakers a couple weeks ago at my local apple store. From the very moment I plugged these in I knew there was no chance that I would be returning them. The sound quality is incredible; no matter how much you crank up the bass or turn up the volume there is absolutely no distortion to the sound. The most impressive thing about these speakers is there is no white noise at all wether I play music from my macbook pro or phone. These speakers sound way better than the amount you pay for them and not to mention they look sick!

Simple. I own 2 pairs of these speakers and they both have worked perfectly for over 4 years. They do full range and have comparable loudness to a large system.

More amazing than I thought!

These speakers are much more louder than i thought they would be. these speakers are going to replace my much larger ipod dock the sony xplode.

These speakers look way better in real life and the quality is so good that I don't know of anything better that is so small! These speakers and subwoofer also can crank up so loud- most won't need it that loud because they are desktop speakers but it is cool to turn it up and here the bass! I highly recommend these speakers to anyone. I was doubtful about them from looking at how apple shows it but they are amazing in real life and also have a modern cool look that has limited wires- but also can stretch to place around your room if needed!

I love these speakers. I don't know where to start. Ok, to start out they are a piece of art and everyone who see's them comments on how cool they look. Not only do they look good, but they sound even better. You could pay 10x the price of these and still get speakers of lesser quality. Just.... WOW... They are so crisp and great sound low or high. I love my harman Kardon Soundsticks lll !

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise... NOTHING compares to these speakers. For the money, you will learn to live with the fact that the sub looks like a giant jellyfish. Even the larger, more expensive HK speakers are only a slight step up from their much cheaper cousins. Best in class- absolutely.
