I have had DG-3 & Drive Rescue-3 for almost 2 Years. DG-3 identified a problem with my hard drive that Apple testing did not early on. They fixed it. Now I had to up grade my USB Bootable Drive to the latest version. With no questions asked they provided me with the links necessary.
I would say this is truly great support.

Drive Genius v3.2.2 runs smoothly on the Mountain Lion OS X. The technical support for the product is excellent!

According to another developer, Apple has not made system code available yet to developers to include on disk so that their diagnostic programs could boot from an external DVD. This would allow you to perform some of repair functions on your computer's internal HD without having to resort to a cumbersome work around by installing the system software on an external drive to boot from that. But this has nothing to do with the efficacy of Drive Genius. It does what it's supposed to do and well!

    Not that lucky

The interface is easy to use but the user guide is not. I was disappointed with the support I got because they did not answer my question at all. Drive Genius was supposed to speed up the system after defrag but it didn't. I also did a scan for bad sectors - in case that was the cause for the slow down - but again Drive Genius did not find any bad sectors. So, it looks like I have to live with this.

But this was not my greatest disappointment. I wanted to upgrade my hard disk to 1TB and in that process, get a larger partition for my boot camp Win 7. I could have gone for Super Duper, Carbon Copy and Winclone but chose Drive Genius because it was supposed to be all in one but in the end, it was not to be. The reviews were also very good so I thought I would get good advice and instructions on how to do that. But it was again not to be. Well, my recourse is to go to the one of local stores to see if they could get it done in another way.

I have been using Drive Genius for several years. The product is absolutely great and the support by the customer service team is consistantly excellent. This I would call first-class after-sales serivce.I had to ask their help a few times in the past for unrelated problems/questions and each time they responeded imediately and offered solutions that worked right away. Keep up the good work!

The ability to clone a drive that contains both OS X and Windows in itself was worth the purchase. And if you've ever used Norton Disk Utilities back in the day, this is it.

And ProSoft's tech support is A++. They'll solve your problem if you ever run into any.

I had an issue with DrivePulse. The DG support team got back to me really quick and helped me resolve the issue. This software is expensive but pays for itself by keeping you 'in touch' with your Mac internals. If anything starts to show signs of ill health, DrivePulse will let you know. In addition, the UI is very easy to use and helps keep my Mac mini purring. I just want to give a huge thanks to the support team for the fast and helpful reply...it's good to know I can count on you if I have any problems.

I've been using Drive Genius for several years and it's one of the best utilities I've ever used.

I only recently needed the help of customer support. Below is the response I had to the advice I was given.

Thank you! Your suggestion worked perfect!
You were also excellent at having the fastest response time I've experienced from any software manufacturer in more than 20 years.

Thank you again for your speedy response.

Most of us don't think about a problem, until it happens. And then it may be too late.
This does most everything you'll need for a Mac.

Great program and support is great! Had a problem updating and after a phone call (2 minutes wait) I had an e-mail detailing the solution.
    Thanks!

Between this and DiskWarrior you have about everything you could want at home!

I was not happy with the speed performance, called apple care multiple times however there was no improvement at all. Read reviews of Genius 3 and thought of installing om my mac book pro. After installation did all the steps required and observed my mac was running very fast and even no buffering on 1080.. I am glad that i purchased this software and heads off to prosoft engineers..

    Magnificent product, knee-jerk support responses

The program is a magnificent gem, but I have two disk-scanning applications (Techtool and Drive Genius} and both report a bad block as having a different block address. I'm reasonably certain it is the same bad block since repeated runs report the same thing. Foolishly, I sent an email to Drive Genius support asking if the block addressing methodology in Drive Genius might possibly be different from the one in Techtool. Drive Genius support gave me a three line answer that had to have been canned. It just described the scanning options that are already described perfectly in the program itself. So, I replied to the canned email one more time with another very clear explanation of what I was trying to find out. I got the same response back a 2nd time. My gut tells me they really didn't read and comprehend my short email. At that point, I just gave up trying to get an answer from support. Maybe I'll bump into the software engineer that designed Drive Genius somewhere on the street someday and I'll ask him then.

This software seems superior to Disk Warrior because it's not so fussy about what systems it works on. The company gives super fast tech support. I needed to update, which was easy and free, but it's not clear on their Web site how you get your updated version onto a bootable CD, so you can use it on your own system hard drive. I called, and my call was answered instantly, and a link to a disk image was sent to me so fast I did a double take at my in-box. Everything worked perfectly, and I was able to update without spending a penny.

I've used this software twice now for different purposes and it really cleaned up my 2011 Macbook Pro, as well as speeding it up considerably....especially my accessing sites on the internet.
Also had an issue with my Mac freezing up (likely the result of a couple clashing applications trying to open at the same time). Tech support helped me walk thru a pretty quick solution and advised me on some things to do in my spare time to prevent quirks like that happening again. Abu also taught me a couple reboot tricks. Very responsive to phone call and excellent follow-up via email.

This software is excellent. Although one says that defragmentation on HFS+ is irrelevant, my Mac's are really faster after defragmenting them. I do benefit from defragementation, because the files I work with are normally bigger than 20MB and HFS+ just automatically avoids defragmentation with files less than 20MB.

The whole diagnostic suite is amazingly working. Drive Pulse prevented me several times from data loss! With Drive Genius installed on a flashdrive, I was able to rescue all my non backuped Data of my iMac 27" harddisc as it suddenly died and the Mac wouldn't boot again.

But there is one more thing I'd like to have:

File- and Folder-Synchronization. These features are really missing. And It would be a great step if Drive Genius could realize it's own Rescue Partition, like the e-Drive in TechToolPro.

But I'll never let my Mac's work again without Drive Pulse!

The software is really worth the money!
