    Not worth it

    • Written by from Katy

It stopped working, died, after having for about 14-16 months. I still have not found a replacement as I have the wireless keyboard. They just need to make all keyboards wireless that have the numberpad with them. I would get a keyboard with the num pad built in, or use a different brand.

    Blue tooth keypad

    • Written by from Hobart

Frankly it is a drag. I cannot get it to register straight way so I had to go through this song and dance routine to get it to work and then it goes to sleep sometimes requiring a whole new rewake. It so frustrated me I threw it forcefully in the bin I don't have time to muck around with rubbish like this so make something that works. Please.

    Will not connect...

    • Written by from Granbury

Had two of these in our office for almost a year. Both of these devices were used on a desks - they did not travel and were not moved or dropped. One connects to a Mac Book Pro workstation and one connects to an iMac.

One quit working about 6 months after purchase. Tried changing the batteries, deleting device in bluetooth settings and pairing again. The computer recognizes the device, but it will not accept the pair code. Tried to pair without a code and still no success. Contacted Apple support since it was purchased at an Apple store and was told to contact SMK. Contacted SMK support via email with no reply.

About one month ago, the second device started to have the same problems as the first, however I was finally able to get it to successfully pair. However, based upon the Mode key intermittently working, I am sure its demise will be soon.

I would not recommend this device.

Not worth a third of the cost - Save your money or buy something else

At first glance the box it arrived in looked very nice, but it broke trying gently to open it.

Then came the real disappointment seeing that I should have not relied on looking at the picture. It was just cheap plastic that was both higher in and deeper in profile then the Apple keyboard. So it does not look good having next to a good looking high quality Apple Keyboard.

Working with it do not speed up data input that much dramatically since you end up with having to switch back and forth to the cursor keys on the real keyboard to jump between the cells in the spreadsheet.

Yes I knew there was no useful scientific keys like the square-root or financial keys, but at that price you would expect higher build quality.

For half the price you could buy a Canon X Mark I Keypad or Mouse instead, or surely find a competitive brand of higher quality. Or possibly the LMP Bluetooth Keypad for pure data input without any calculator features built in.

Truly regret buying this product which arrived a few hours ago. Sadly it's not worth the hassle to return to AppleStore. Everything else I have bought from there has always been of high quality, so I cut my losses and give it to my four year old daughter to play with.

    Useless

Bought for a manager from a small company switching from Windows7 to Mac... I'll never deliver this item as it simply doesn't work as it should: never reconnect automatically. => useless
I'll bring it back to the shop together with this useless Apple wireless keyboard (without calculator keypad) and I'll go back to wired keyboard :o(((

    useless

    • Written by from Irvine

It takes forever to set this up, and I had to set it up multiple times. It also takes forever to prepare for use every time I use it; it takes time for it to sync with my computer. And now, though I've not used it much, it keeps reverting to "calculator mode" (which I NEVER use) when I need it to be in "keypad" mode. It makes me angry that I threw away $50 bucks on this now-useless item. I never found it easy to use when it WAS working. Now the only thing useful about it is its batteries.

    Awful

    • Written by from SAINT PETERSBURG

This product leaves much to be desired. It is constantly loosing its connection. I just got it back from the manufacturer who assured me that it had been repaired, after I had it for only a couple of months, and I'm right back to the same issues as before. I can't even remember how many times I've had to reset the thing and re-establish the blue tooth connection. Awful product.

    Poor product

It takes a while for the key pad to connect. After not using for a short period of time, it disconnects and you have to power on again to establish connection. Very disappointing product

If I could rate it zero stars

    • Written by from American Canyon

I would rate it zero stars if I could. The first time I tried using it, the cover fell off of the zero and I couldn't attach it back on. Very cheaply made!

    Not so great!!

    • Written by from Wilmington

I can't even figure out how to work the dang thing. When I press on the mode button it switches to kepad but in 3 seconds it switches back making it impossible to connect to the bluetooth device on my iMac. Very surprised that Apple would even sell this product and say it works great!!

I'll be returning it hopefully for a full refund or at least a credit for equal value!!!

Calculators fine but I bought it for the keypad. Wish I had read the reviews first and 'Shame on you' to whoever it was that sold it to me praising it's functionality!!!!!!

    Fell apart

    • Written by from Atlanta

I didn't have trouble syncing like some other reviewers and the thing would usually connect - although not usually automatically. I would have to go in to bluetooth and search and connect.

However, after 6 months of use, the "4" button came off and cannot be fixed. For $60 it should last longer. Very disappointing.

    Don't Even Bother!!

    • Written by from Fairfax

As all of the reviews state, thought it was a great solution to the wireless keyboard, WRONG. I didn't have any trouble setting it up, getting it to sync, but once its set up simple functions such as CLEAR don't even work, I have to go to the track pad to clear the calculation. The back space/delete button...ditto - doesn't work. It calculates just great, if you want to do ONE calculation and quit.... Seriously - what a waste of $$$. You are better off using a regular handheld calculator....invest in the wired keyboard, don't think twice. I think they misplaced the decimal in the cost, it should have been placed in front of all the numbers... Bought Today...RETURNING TOMORROW!!

    Waste of money

    • Written by from Des Moines

I bought this keypad at my local Apple Store and it was a complete waste of money. It quit connecting to my computer within the first week of purchase. Now it's just an expensive calculator. Apple should quit selling this product. Save your money and don't buy.

    Terrible!!!

    • Written by from Grand Island

I've had this item for two months. I use excel almost daily, so the need for a fast alternative numerical input was needed. This product never syncs up on its own and rarely does when I bluetooth it. The other reviews are dead on with functionality, that it's overpriced and more of a hassle than it's worth. Apple dropped the ball for selling this in their stores. I never would have bought it if an associate didn't recommend it, it was a poor impulse buy without reading the reviews. I should have bought the wired board like I set out to do. I would not recommend this to anyone. I would give it 0 stars if I could!
