Bad Serial Numbers
Written by WH from Alexandria
Dec 4, 2007
Some people are writing in saying that after purchasing QuickTime Pro and entering the serial number it doesn't work. It happened to me as well. Call Apple, get a refund, and purchase another serial number. Apparently they don't all work. The product is great though.

QuickTime 7 Pro for Mac OS X
doesn't work
Written by TD from Sedona

After buying QT Pro for Mac, paying, registering and then opening QT movies, all the editing tools remain greyed-out and do not work. What a waste of $33!
Frustrated at this Windows-like process.650 of 927 people found this useful

Easy, Powerful, Useful, (Did I say Easy?)
Written by NF from Modesto
Nov 20, 2007
What can I say? It is rare that a product continues to live up to it's hype. This is a simple, yet extremely powerful software that has continued to lead it's competitors by example. I use it exclusively for both my home and business solutions. Ultimately all video will end up being shown using Quicktime. Way to go Apple!

Great Product but....
Written by WF from Escanaba
Nov 13, 2007
i purchased Quicktime 7 Pro for Windows and this software has been great for me so far. I had a few problems with it crashing on my Windows machine, but nothing major or that I wouldn't expect for Windows. Now that I have made the switch to the new iMac (my first Apple), you would think that my license could transfer to the Mac OS X, but Apple and their greedy accountants (no more so than Microsoft accountants) would like me to lay down more money for another copy to run on my iMac. Let's make the software available for both using the same key or at least give me a discount. Greed is what is drove me from Windows please Apple don't follow Microsoft's example.

The best Apple product yet!!!
Written by JG from SAN FRANCISCO
Nov 3, 2007
This product is amazing and dazzling. With it, there are so many options and additions to multimedia, you can do anything you want and your project will turn
out fantastic. You have so many import and export options as well as so many the
various functions that only come with this product, that, for the minimal cost of only $32 with tax, is the best deal anywhere.
It is the greatest multimedia devepment & editing software around401 of 2138 people found this useful

QuickTime 7 Pro for Mac OS X
it's good but should not charge us
Written by LC
Oct 29, 2007
It is a good basic-editing player. It does all the things you'll expect it to, extract audio(which will be useful with the new iMovie as iMovie doesn't do that anymore), trim videos and more. But isn't it too selfish for Apple to charge people for even a full screen video player? of course, with quicklook and frontrow, we don't need to buy the software merely for its fullscreen function

Solid Purchase
Written by TB from Carrollton
Oct 26, 2007
I bought Pro thinking that I had to have it for doing a video project in Logic quite awhile back (the basic would have worked). Since then, I have grown to love it as it is a standard and worth the price. I have used it to pull out commercials in MP4s and basic "to frame" editing. You will get your money out of it (for those who think it needs to be free). It's not like Apple is going to let their flagship video player get buggy... The ratings on this should be WAY higher.

love apple but dont like Quick Time Pro
Written by AW from Saint Peters
Oct 23, 2007
I have been happy with every purchase I have ever made with Apple but this software is worthless. I was only able to save one video from the web and nothing after. That was my whole purpose for purchasing the software. If any one finds a fix or knows what the problem is, please post a solultion.

QT Pro does NOT improve your streaming video experience
Written by CB from Issaquah
Oct 20, 2007
The Apple advertising and the "Pro only" markers in the Quicktime menus strongly suggest that QT Pro will allow you to download video files that ordinarily are streaming-only.
This is not the case.
I fell for the hype and purchased QT Pro. All the "Save as", "Export" etc items in the menu are now clickable --- but when you click them, the object that actually gets saved to your hard drive is just a 1KB link to the original streaming-only content -- you are NOT able to download video files (unless you could download them in the free version of QT).
In other words QT Pro does nothing to improve your streaming-only content experience. Apple needs to make its advertising much clearer on this point. Since I don't need any of QT Pro's video CREATION features, I will be asking for a refund. Fat chance.
BTW, the content I was trying to download was a video seminar on Apple Remote Desktop --- video content from apple.com itself --- so my problem is not caused by trying to download video from some questionable source.

Stable and worthwile
Written by LM from Juneau
Oct 17, 2007
Although not perfect, Quicktime Pro is an astounding program when coupled with some additional (usually free) video codex from DivX and others. QT Pro, although a little slower than some of the comparable products, converts AVIs and other video to iPod format with slightly higher quality results.
Still looking forward to a little more conversion speed in the future.149 of 211 people found this useful

QuickTime 7 Pro for Mac OS X
worthwhile upgrade
Written by RS from Herndon
Oct 15, 2007
I bought the Pro upgrade for QuickTime because I needed to save some audio in an older Apple format, and it did that easily -- QT Pro offers an impressive list of in and out formats for sound and video. What surprized me was how useful the editor is: it is clear, fast, effective, and I use it often.

QPro Works...
Written by AS from Houston
Oct 13, 2007
I have been using macs for over 20 years and am a graphic designer/video editor. There's nothing like QT out there and for the price the upgrade is the best. I've had a few sites that give me question marked videos (am working to change some preferences) but to be honest, I can't complain. It's the best bang for your buck.

A waste of time - don't buy
Written by JD from Ashland
Oct 11, 2007
Just downloaded the Pro upgrade, installed it on my excellent G4 OX10.4.9, and it worked fine for exactly two days. After that, it no longer accepts URLs for any internet item, so you cannot even use it as a simple viewer. Now going for a refund. Apple, please fix this? And BTW, make it clear on your purchase page that this is only an internet download and not available as a disk. I'd prefer to buy the proofed-and-debugged version on a disk, if possible. But get it right firstly.
