Can this mount be adapted for dual displays? If so, where can the parts be acquired?
I want to use one side for the iMac and the other side for a monitor connected to a mac mini.

AnswerThis mount can easily be used for 2 displays since each arm has a VESA compatible mounting pattern.
The shelf that holds an Apple notebook or iPad is an attachment, so you can simply omit attaching it to the other arm of the mount if you wish to use it for dual displays.- Answered by Huey N from Franklin Park

Best AnswerActually Bretford told me it was 31 pounds per arm (as long as the base is securely mounted), but they have not "approved" it for two monitors. . .

what does the mounting hardware look like?

Best AnswerThe Bretford website actually has a very detailed assembly manual with either photos or renderings of all of the mounting hardware. Apparently you can't provide a link in an "answer" but the website is apple.bretford.com and the link to a .pdf of the assembly guide is at the bottom of the page for the mount.

Can I position it as the laptop on the left and the secondary screen/iMac on the right?

Best AnswerI just looked at the assembly guide on Bretford's website, apple.bretford.com, and it appears that the two arms are identical and interchangeable. The plate for the laptop attaches just like a VESA mount, and the interface at the end of each arm look the same so it appears you could set up the screen/iMac on the right with the laptop on the left. You just have to assemble it that way.

Answer
Yes you can.
I have attached an 27" iMac on ones side and a 27" cinema display on the other side and have seen no issues. It is pretty much right at the 31lb limit for each arm.
There is also room for adjustment as well, incase you want to angle the displays inward.- Answered by Brett B from San Jose

Can I mount TWO 30" apple cinema monitors
- Asked by Alexander K from San Diego

Best AnswerBretford told me it is 31 lbs per arm, not total. They also told me it is not "officially approved" for two monitors. That said, I just installed it with one 30" and one 24" Apple displays and it works just fine, I would not hesitate to put two 30" displays on it. It is extremely over engineered (built like a tank)- I suspect it will hold several times the stated weight (but I wouldn't recommend going past the 31 lbs per arm). By the way - it comes with 2 VESA brackets - the stand for the laptop just bolts onto one of the VESA mounts - so you only need the Apple VESA adaptors and you are ready to go!!

Can I attach a normal Samsung monitor, instead of an Apple one?
Hello,
From the holes/compatibility/distance point of view, an Apple LED Cinema Display is perfectly compatible with a Samsung monitor? I don't want to use Apple as monitor, because I already have a cheap Samsung monitor by 24 inch..
Would fit, without doing anything to the Bretford adapter?
