Answer
The Vestax Spin now officially supports Algoriddim's djay 1.4 for iPad. Taking advantage of the new iOS 5 features of iPad, Vestax and Algoriddim have worked closely to make the Spin seamlessly control the new version of djay for iPad. Simply connect Spin to your iPad with Apple's USB camera adaptor kit and you can mix, scratch and play music as a DJ would right at your finger tips. Spin with djay for iPad shares the same plug & play ability as like djay for Mac, offering everything you need to be a DJ. Algoriddim's djay for iPad is available on the app store.

The software is Mac-only, but if you have Traktor or other MIDI-aware DJ software on your PC, you should be able to use this like any other sound card or MIDI device.

Yes, it is compatible with DJay 4. The Spin comes with a copy of DJay 3, but DJay 4 is a much more streamlined version of the software and a lot easier to use.

Does this allow pre-cueing?
In Djay if you select Pre-Cueing it says you need an external sound card. Does this device allow pre-cueing? Thanks!
- Asked by Charlie F from Sacramento

Answer
The Spin has a ¼" phono headphone jack in front used for pre-cueing. The headphone jack also has its own volume control knob. The Spin has buttons that allow you to select which "turntable" you want to monitor. You can choose to monitor either one or both. FYI, the djay software allows pre-cueing without the Spin, as long as there are two sound output sources. Even the lowly Griffin iMic could be used for pre-cueing with Spin. Spin has its other features, however.

Is Vestax Spin compatible with Virtual Dj? If so, how do i connect them together? and is it possible with home version or do i need to download pro?

Best Answer
The Spin is compatible with virtual Dj.
What you need to do is download the ASIO driver.
To find it, simply google, asio4all and it should lead you to the website. Download it, install, and then run VDJ and go to configuration and you should see where you need to change the driver to ASIO4ALL.
Hope that helps!- Answered by Charles O
