Can we put in 2 EVGA GeForce GTX 285 into our MacPro tower or if possible even up to 4 of them in the tower?

No you can not. There are only two 6-Pin PCIe power plugs. However there are sites out there that can help you rewire to get two more 6-Pin PCIe to power the 2nd GTX 295.
There are only 4 slots. 3 single and 1 double wide. That will allow only two GTX 285 and one GT 120 to be installed.
Also there is no SLI on Mac OS X. So getting two GTX 285 and SLI will not work nor give you extra performance.- Answered by NZ from Davis

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but sorry.. no, this card will only work with EFI64 based 2008-2009 mac pros.

then i would not use this card but would recommend the NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 as you can install 4 of these and then with the dvi to dual dvi adapters you can have up to 8 30 inch displays.

I have a Mac Pro 8 core, purchased September 30,2009 will this card work in it? the 6 pin power cables will plug into the GTX 285 but not the Mac Pro
I have a Mac Pro 8 core, purchased September 30,2009 will this card work in it? the 6 pin power cables will plug into the GTX 285 but not on the Mac Pro board. There is a fan between the card and the spot where the cable should attache. The cable is not long enough to reach around the fan to where it should attache.

Can i use this WITH the default ati radeon on my 4-core Xeon?
