will the Focal XS speakers and sub woofer work with the Mac Book Pro
- Asked by Don T from Bronx

AnswerAbsolutely! In fact, they sound fantastic! If possible though plug the USB from the speakers DIRECTLY into your computer rather than a hub. Personally, I believe it works better this way. BTW, I have the MBP 15" i7 (april 2010.)

Is the focal xs compatible with the iPhone 3gs? Will it charge and play at the same time? Too many iPod accessories will not work with an iPhone.

Best AnswerMine will charge but not play at the same time from the phone. But why would you need it too as you can play from your i-tunes account. You can sync from the speakers there is a flick switch at the back that lets you do that. If the phone is working you can get feedback to the speakers whilst charging unless you put in Airline mode.
Basically I charge my phone from a plug. The touch seems to have no problem.- Answered by Timothy B

i want to use these speakers as my main stereo in my lounge / dinning room will they be loud enough for parties etc?
i dont need them to be neighbour wakingly loud but i do like loud music will these be able to cope?

AnswerYes, I sold there Car audio Speakers for about a year... From that I found that there were not many speakers out there that could compete with Focal setups. They cost so much because EVERYTHING they make is made in house, down to melting there own copper and creating more dense strands to wrap the voice coils. These guys are the "Rolls Royce" of creating speakers. Bose is more like Chevy! Hope this helps!

Is the subwoofer sound wired to the computer or wireless? I assume that the subwoofer needs 110 volt power?
- Asked by Chris B from Eastland

AnswerThe two desktop speakers and subwoofer work together as an integral system and are set up to work under 110 V power. Hookup to the computer is through USB. The drivers for the Focal XS are already included in the Snow Leopard OS. There are several web sites that provide details on this and the installation manual from Focal XS for MAC and PC can be downloaded ahead of any purchase.

Best AnswerNo problem! As long as you have a USB port it works. You will need to change one sound setting in your Configuration Panel once you hook it up. Takes about a second.
