Not really no. They are so cheaply made, they bleed so much noise and break so easily. I estimate they cost about 30 quid to make.
You can buy a set of Dj headphones for 120 quid that are as good as these and sound as good, only you dont get the noise cancellation. Thats all these headphones are good for.
They do go loud, but are not 'better' than bose, or any other headphone for that matter. I have six pairs of high end headphones, inc bose, and i would not say these are 'better', as they are all designed to do different things, so it would be wrong to compare them.
Everyone wants these because celebrities and footballers wear them, thats all, and because they go 'loud', people get the illusion they are 'great' and have 'great sound quality'. They are very comfy to wear, but like i say, cheaply made. Mine are already going back for repair. However, they are a nice looking, comfy, loud set of cans. I paid £219 for mine.- Answered by AH from bracknell

How do they compare to Bose Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones?

Best Answer
The beats go loud, very loud!. So loud you WILL go death. The QC 3's are limited and opt for quality not quantity. I have both the dre's and the QC 3's, and i must say i prefere the QC 3's to just chill and listen. The reason being, the dre's are so cheaply made they bleed so much noise, even at low volumes everyone can hear what you are listening to, and i get a lot of complaints. Headphones are supposed to be so YOU can listen to your music, not everyone else. The bose do not go to such high volumes and actually sound better than the dre's if both set to the same volume. I use my dre's for dj'ing due to the sheer volume they can go to, and no one will complain about the noise bleed. They also do sound better than most £150 dj headphones, although the bass is not as good as my dj headphones i paid £150 for. As of the noise reduction, i cant tell the difference. I think bose do a better job, because they dont hiss like te dre's do. I tried both pairs with different noises.

How much better are the Studio Beats compared to the Solo Beats?
- Asked by CS from Leavenworth
- Nov 24, 2009
- Flag as inappropriate
Best Answer
Also understand that (1) the solos do not include noise cancellation - although the suction cups do block out minor sounds (i.e. typing on your keyboard) - however on a plane you would still have to blast your ear drums through the roof. (2) Because the Studios are battery powered they can provide both a crisper/clearer sounds in the high frequency range and a higher orange in general (20Khz both ends). The solos provide a slightly muddier sound
In short - if you plan on using for travel go with the Studios but if you simply want pretty good headphones go with the Solos (although I would suggest going with the Bose On-Ear headphones over the Solos)- Answered by TT from Brunswick

how badly do they leak sound?
on most of the questions it says that they leak pretty bad
- Asked by EK
- Nov 25, 2009

Best Answer
They do leak a considerable amount - if volume on the ipod is higher than maybe half way, anyone around you will be able to hear exactly what you're listening to. If you can stand it on full volume, to people around you, it's almost like your playing your music on a portable speaker. Shouldn't put you off though - the sound quality is sublime

whats the difference between beats and beats solo?

the solo don't have noise cancellation like the studio. also they have a mat finish and are not glossy with a piano finish like these. another difference is that the studio are about twice the size and come with a soft case instead of a hard shelled one like these

Yes. They leak sound real bad. People always moan at me that they can hear them and it's too loud. They are cheaply made plastic headphones.

Best Answer
Yes it does actually unlike the previuos answer suggests. You have your volume + and - but if you press the space in between these buttons this will allow you to play or pause your music. If you double press this space it will skip song and if you triple press it, it will go back a song :) hope you see this answer.

Best Answer
They are great for dj'ing, that's about it though. I use mine for dj'ing only as they are useless to listen to music privatly as they bleed so much noise.
