Can they be used without the noise cancellation? That is, can you turn it off. Or, if the batteries die will they continue to work
The Bose and other noise cancelling headphones do not allow use without the noise cancellation and will not work when the batteries run out. Fall asleep once with them on and you are going to be putting in new batteries. Take a long flight and you need spare batteries. How does it work with the Monster Beats Studio?

how badly do they leak sound?
on most of the questions it says that they leak pretty bad

They do leak a considerable amount - if volume on the ipod is higher than maybe half way, anyone around you will be able to hear exactly what you're listening to. If you can stand it on full volume, to people around you, it's almost like your playing your music on a portable speaker. Shouldn't put you off though - the sound quality is sublime

How much better are the Studio Beats compared to the Solo Beats?
- Asked by CS from Leavenworth

Best Answer
Also understand that (1) the solos do not include noise cancellation - although the suction cups do block out minor sounds (i.e. typing on your keyboard) - however on a plane you would still have to blast your ear drums through the roof. (2) Because the Studios are battery powered they can provide both a crisper/clearer sounds in the high frequency range and a higher orange in general (20Khz both ends). The solos provide a slightly muddier sound
In short - if you plan on using for travel go with the Studios but if you simply want pretty good headphones go with the Solos (although I would suggest going with the Bose On-Ear headphones over the Solos)- Answered by TT from Brunswick

What about the warranty if I buy them in the US and want them to be changed in a Belgian Apple Store because of a failure?
What about the warranty if I buy them in the Local New York Apple Store and want them to be changed in a Local Belgian Apple Store because of a failure? Because I'm a bit worried of the hardware quaility. Some user reviews on the Apple Store website say they just had them easily be replaced at their Local Apple Store.
