Answer
Yes! works well in my Mac Pro 1.1 2006 but remember the capture has to be NON HDCP to work! (as in not copy protected like a ps3 or tv tuner.) most pro cameras work perfectly!

Can you use the Blackmagic Intensity Pro HDMI Card on the imac?
If you can how?

Answer
No. This is a PCI Express expansion card - only Mac Pros have that type of expansion slot.
In your situation, simply purchase one of the many external converter boxes with a FireWire or USB2 interface, such as the Grass Valley/Canopus series of products; or one of the BlackMagic or ElGato USB "dongle" converters, which plug right into a USB2 port.- Answered by Matthew R from Santa Fe

Answer
1) Yes this will capture footage from an xbox 360
2) Yes, It will allow you to play in HD while using HDMI or component
3) Sadly No, this is a PCI expansion card which means that you need an actual bay to connect it to, the only Macs that has PCI expansion slots are Mac PROS.- Answered by Morse M from Coronado

Can the Blackmagic Design card capture HDMI signals that have HDCP?
I'm trying to capture the menu screens from the ATV2 and soon as the current AVerMedia card I have sees the screens it puts up the HDCP warning.
There is no content playing at that time but still gives the error and won't let me see the menus to take the screen shots
Does this card solve that issue?
All I want is the menus from the ATV2 I now have them for the ATV1- Asked by Robert E from Niagara Falls

Does the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro HDMI card replace the video card in the Mac Pro?
Last week my video card fried and I can't use my Mac Pro. I am using OS X, Lion and have 14 GB of RAM.
When I called Apple tech support, I was advised by an Apple support tech that a Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro HDMI card would replace my fried ATI radeon video card. I ordered one and want to make sure before I install. It arrives tomorrow, Feb 20th, 2012.- Asked by Tom M from Largo

I want to use my Canon XL1 to capture video directly into Final Cut Pro - is Intensity Pro what I need?

Answer
You ought not to need it. Firewire in should do the trick. That said, it's really bad for the head of your xl1 to digitize with it - cameras are for shooting - though if you want to avoid buying a more expensive deck for diging then try getting a cheap mini dv camera at Best Buy for a couple hundred bucks. Easier to handle, lighter on your crowded desk surface, and fine for digitizing.

I want to buy an HD camera but I'm afraid I won't be able to digitize the footage to FCPro. Will this product solve that problem?
I borrowed an HD camera once and had to convert the media 3x's --losing quality along the way.

Answer
The short answer is 'yes'.
If you buy an HD camera that records on an internal hard drive, you'll be able to transfer the files via USB into FCP. If its a tape based HD camera you will need to capture it in real time, and the Intensity Pro will do a great job through its HDMI input.
Good Luck
