Best Answeryes of course you can transfer files. Simple have google drive or dropbox in your ipad and install the same in your acer computer. It will do the rest....

AnswerYes, but you'll have to use the headphone jack for audio. Search for "VGA to composite video adapter" for the add on piece you'll need as well as the lightning to VGA adapter.

Does the iPad 4 with VGA adapter support the widescreen 1366x768 resolution?
If so, does the iPad 4 screen mirroring stay on 1024x768 with black bars either side ? does it switch to 1366x768 when playing 720p HD Video?

What about audio?
I assume, with this device, you could output the video via VGA, as stated. However, if you have a movie on your iphone 5, can you simultaneously output audio via the headphone jack on the iphone 5 while this device is still plugged into the Lightning connector?

AnswerYes and no. You will notice people complaining about not being able to view iTunes content and the reason for this has nothing to do with their cable and everything to do with their display/tv/projector. A number of years back, something called HDCP was introduced to prevent people copying HD content. In order to view HDCP content, you need a compliant screen, it has nothing to do with the cable. If your screen/tv is not HDCP compliant, you will not be able to view content purchased on iTunes. Most newer TVs and Screens should be HDCP compliant but if you have an older one, it may be an issue.

AnswerYou will get video but touching the smart board can't control the iPad as its only a video connection no data

Does the audio pass through the lightning connector?
Given VGA is video only, can the Lightning Port on the adapter be used for audio and power or just power? Does the audio pass through the connector?

Apple has stated that the 30-pin to Lightning adapter doesn't support video out, so that would imply that no, the 30-pin adapter and the 30-pin VGA would not work.

Can you use more than one adapter at the same time using the extra lightning port?
I want to show my students some garageband recording for a music tech. I would normally connect the lightning to vga adapter to my projector but i need a keyboard connected via the lightning to usb cable.
As the vga adapter has a lightning port, is it possible to put the lightning to usb adapter into the vga adapter so i can use a midi keyboard and show what I am doing via the projector at the same time?
