Is it compatible for the old 30-pin iHomes? Will an iPhone 5 keep it's balance if it's connected to an old 30-pin iHome with this adapter?
I used to have an iPod 4th generation on a 30-pin iHome but I don't have that iPod anymore. Now I have an iPhone 5 and i still have that old 30-pin iHome.

Will this work with my Oscium iMSO oscilloscope?
The Oscium iMSO is a multi-source oscilloscope which workls beautifully in the iPad2 and iPhone 3GS. Will it work with the iPad mini? The iMSO essentially captures digital traces of the electronic signals, and feeds them to the iMSO app for turn into a pretty picture on screen.

AnswerAll original Apple Chargers come without charging cables. So if you have an old but "original" Apple charger that definitely has an USB type output port, you can use either the old 30-pin docking type cable (other end is USB) or the new Lightning cable (other end is USB) with the aforementioned original Apple chargers. What counts is the power rating of the charger versus the Apple hardware you want to charge. However some new Apple models (such as iPhone 5, iPod Touch/5G, iPod Nano/7G, iPad Mini and iPad 4th Generation) carry the new Lightning connector and you definitely need to use an original Apple cable (USB to Lightning) bcz. this is a "chipped" cable and ordinary 3rd party cables mostly will (should) not work!... This Lightning to 30-pin Adapter is also "chipped", so you can connect either an original Apple (USB to 30-pin) cable, or some other 3rd party (OEM) USB to 30-pin cable, or say a charger having a fixed cable (with he 30-pin socket at the output) to this adapter to charge your iPad Mini. No sweat!...

Will the adaptor work with a JVC RBNV50 player
I own a JVC RB-NV50 Boomblaster which I use for dance classes. My husband has just bought me a nano ipod 7th generation. Unfortunately the JVC has a 30 pin ipod dock and a usb port but wont read the ipod using the usb port. Will it be able to read the ipod using the lightning to 30 pin adaptor?

AnswerI own JVC Boomblaster NB70 with 30pin Ipod dock. The lightning adapter didn't work with it - Ipod touch 5g wasn't recognized as IPod-device. Due to the adapter +new Ipod touch height you couldn't close the 'door' anymore.
