It sure can! However, it cannot be done through the Apple Online Store; it must be done through the actual iTunes Application.
On an iOS device, you must open iTunes and scroll to the bottom, where you'll see Send Gift.

AnswerThe Answer is NO, I have been round and round on this one trying to do it. My situation is: I have a friend in Tokyo Japan (I live in the UK) and it is his birthday, I want to buy him an iTunes Gift card, Now I cannot buy it in Pounds Sterling as he will not be able to redeem it in his Japan iStore, as they do not accept other currencies. I also cannot (I have tried) buy it in Japanese Yen from the Japan iStore as when i try it detects my login as being registered in the UK and pushes me back to the UK iStore. So it appears it cannot be done and he will not be getting an iTunes Gift :(

Can this card be used in Mac App Store?
I see only £25 and £50 cards have a version with App Store icon.

Best AnswerAs far as I know, not through Apple. There are some online stores that do it but they charge a fee. The one I saw charged 4.99 to do it but send an e-mail immediately.

Can i use a uk gift card to buy tv seasons that are available in uk itunes store, but not available in the itune store in usa? (i have a usa account).
I want to buy the homeland tv season 2, which is only available in the Australian itnes store....
I heard i could buy it with a gift card from uk. Which would allow meto open an uk account. But i am afraid i wont be allowed to watch the season because i am not locates in uk or australia.
