How does this product compare to cases by Domeo Products?
I recently discovered a company that makes iPad cases, called Domeo Products. It looks like they have some great cases. I am wondering what you think of them or if you have heard of them?

AnswerWell going by research only, it appears that the Domeo would be a much better case than the Apple one. It appears sturdier (no hinges to be concerned about as some of the reviews point out) and more "luxurious". It is about $10 higher in cost. The use features of it seem a bit more sophisticated. The only drawback in my opinion is that there is no offer for personalized lazering which is key to me personally, and I have been unable to find a retailer that sells Domeo Products so that I can physically go look at one (I can go to Best Buy and look and feel of the the Apple one). This is also a key factor to me.

Best AnswerNo, because the original smart cover is designed to fit the iPad screen, which is sizably larger than the iPad Mini. There are other specific iPad Mini Smart Covers, but no cases yet.

Best AnswerYes, it is compatable with the iPad 4. The case is made for the 30 pin connector, but it will fit the iPad 4 with the lightning cable with some of the metal showing. Hope this helps.

Yes, the case is compatible with the 3rd gen iPad and the 4th gen iPad, which both have the retina display. And yes, the automatic sleep/wake works with the retina display.

AnswerThere are rocker buttons for that. Basically, what I'm saying is that although those buttons are covered by material, there are indentations that allow you to adjust the volume while the smart case is on.

Because the iPad is so slippery, I am looking for a case that has good traction. Is the polyurethane a good choice to prevent sliding?

AnswerI love the Smart Case. I've had it for over 6 months now and it has held up well. The polyurethane surface has a nice, almost suede-like feel, so it does prevent slipping when you hold it.

Best AnswerNo, the original ipad is too thick for the case. Although there are cases for the ipad 1 which is very similar to the smart case.

AnswerThe Apple store employees told me personally that the smart case is better fitted for the ipad 3 and 4 than the ipad 2 since they're both a little thicker than the ipad 2 and be more snug.

Best AnswerSmart case is rubber on back and front. cover is rubber or leather on front. smart cover was made for a more design friendly cover with very nice colors. the smart case was built to be able to have a similar design with more protection.

My charger doesn't work with Case. It says: Charging is not supported with this Accessory
I recently purchased this case for the iPad with Retina. The case is great, fits well. I don't have any problem with the magnets. But every time I plug in the charger, it says: Charging is not supported with this Accessory. So I removed the case this morning and plugged it in, and now it's charging fine. Is anyone else having this problem?

All Smart Cover and Case works well on iPad with Retina Display (iPad 4), and it will fit the lightning connector. I say Yes. It says "This accessory is compatible with: iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4
