You can use a variety of things to clean it. I've used lens wipes, microfiber cloths and various other soft cloths like old t-shirts. The glass on the ipad is pretty hard but don't use anything that's abrasive. Stay away from any harsh chemical cleaner.

Do I need a screen protector for ipad
- Asked by Louis B from Center Moriches
- Mar 20, 2012

Best Answer
I've only had my New iPad for about a week and don't intend using a protector. The reason is, I've had my iPhone 4 since launch week, and never had a screen protector on it, and I have zero major scratches, and only very very faint scratches if I clean and hold it to the light. The iPad AFAIK uses the same screen glass as the iPhone. I'd rather feel the smooth pristine glass under my fingers than cheap plastic in hope of preventing a couple of minor scratches after a year or so...

Will the smart cover damage my ipad
Will the magnetic attraction of the smart cover to the iPad damage it
- Asked by Pirtpal D from Covina
- Nov 29, 2011

Best Answer
YES.
The iPad2 smart covers can cause damage to the side of the iPad 2. I have just been into the Apple store and they have replaced both my iPad and the smart cover for free, as the cover was doing damage to the case. It was scratching the case to a point where the metal looked plastic.- Answered by Graeme H

If I could do it all over again, I would not have spent the extra money for the leather case. It doesnt look any better the faux leather case. I do not feel it is worth the money.

Is this the MC947LL/A or MD301LL/A model? And can you tell me the difference? Thank you
- Asked by Dennis W from Canton
- Mar 14, 2012
- Flag as inappropriate
Answer
The MC series models are the ones which Apple released prior to the release of the 3rd Generation iPad. The MD series is a newer part number, but they are interchangeable parts. When you enter the MC series part number on the Apple Store, it brings up the current model of the item (updated after the release of the 3rd Generation iPad). The MC series is NOT a knock off of the MD series covers.

If the magnets get weak is there any way to make them strong again?
- Asked by Bryce B from Bailey
- Jan 1, 2012
- Flag as inappropriate
Best Answer
There is a simple way to "re-magnetize" magnets by doing this-repeatedly rub the weaker magnet with a strong one....this will transfer magnetic properties of the latter to the weaker magnet without compromising the magnetic properties of the stronger/working magnet.

What does it mean when the cover is labeled as (PRODUCT) RED? Are there any differences as to where or how it was made?
- Asked by Can L from San Jose
- Mar 8, 2012

Answer
Actually, anything with (PRODUCT) Red on Apple's site means that if you buy it, part of the money will go to a fund to help fight AIDS in Africa. It isn't made differently or anything.

Does the smart cover work for the original iPad?
My daughter gave me an iPad for my recent birthday and I wonder about a cover for it. Does the iPad Smart Cover work on all iPads? Does it completely cover the iPad for travel?
- Asked by Carol D from Hamilton
- Nov 25, 2011
- Flag as inappropriate
Best Answer
The Smart Cover only works with the iPad 2. This is because it attaches to the iPad 2 using magnets. These magnets are only in the iPad 2. Also, the Smart Cover only covers the front of the iPad 2 (the screen). There are 3rd-party cases for the iPad 2 which cover the back of the iPad 2 and still work with a Smart Cover.
