You can use a variety of things to clean it. I've used lens wipes, microfiber cloths and various other soft cloths like old t-shirts. The glass on the ipad is pretty hard but don't use anything that's abrasive. Stay away from any harsh chemical cleaner.

Is mine Genuine? No Product Red logo on the inside of the cover.
I bought a Red Leather iPad Smart Cover advertised as a genuine apple product (not from the Apple store,) but it does not have the Product Red logo on the inside.
It still states "Designed by Apple in Califonia. Assembled in China." and has a 17 digit serial number on the inside of the magnetic strip.
Does this lack of a Product Red logo mean it is not genuine or was there ever a version which didn't have the logo?- Asked by Luke H

What does it mean when the cover is labeled as (PRODUCT) RED? Are there any differences as to where or how it was made?

Best AnswerActually, anything with (PRODUCT) Red on Apple's site means that if you buy it, part of the money will go to a fund to help fight AIDS in Africa. It isn't made differently or anything.

Not sure why this has so many wrong answers. The outside of the cover is a soft, unsueded leather when it is covering the front of the iPad. The part that is against the glass screen is microfiber. The leather softness has a disadvantage in that is very porous and everything soaks into it including oils from your hands. My red one looks kind of grubby now and am considering shoe polish to disguise it. Cleaning the leather with a soft damp cloth as advised elsewhere does not work. It also starts removing the dye. If I were doing it over again I would use a leather sealer on it brand new and reapply from time to time.

is screen protector needed for ipad3

Best AnswerI don't believe so I've got 2 the first iPad and the third iPad and I don't have a screen cover on either. If you treat it the way it's suppose to be treated no screen cover is necessary. I do have leather cases for both that cover both the front and back. The screens are treated with an anti scratch and finger print treatment.

AnswerYes it leaves a gray/black stain where the magnet is. This is my second iPad I returned the 1st one due to the stains. The guy said it couldn't be because of the smart cover. Really? Same thing happened again. I bought the smart cover to protect my iPad and it mad it look worse.

If the magnets get weak is there any way to make them strong again?
- Asked by Bryce B from Bailey
- Jan 1, 2012

Best AnswerThere is a simple way to "re-magnetize" magnets by doing this-repeatedly rub the weaker magnet with a strong one....this will transfer magnetic properties of the latter to the weaker magnet without compromising the magnetic properties of the stronger/working magnet.
