Is it possible to connect to display that doesn't have HDMI?

I'm looking to use it for presentations when I travel, and I can't rely on everyone to have an HDMI compatible projector. In other words, is there a composite cable that I can purchase to use with this adaptor? Thanks

is the 30 pin connecter on the on this item the same as the lead that comes with the ipad  allowing to connect to your ipad with a male to male lead

Can the Digital A/V Adapter be used to play home movies, saved on a NAS drive, onto a TV?

I have copied home movie video files from my PC to a NAS Drive. My Iphone 4 has an app to view these videos from the NAS Drive. Can this cable be used to play these NAS drive videos onto a tv set? Presently the only way to play these movies is if I sync them into the internal memory of the Iphone as a reular cable does not show files from this drive.

Will the cable allow me to view the optimum (cable) app on my tv?

i can watch cable on iphone 4s with the optimum app so if this cable works i could just watch it on tv which would be sweeeeettt! so does anyone know if optimum would restrict this mirroring?

what hdtv's are compatible

I have a Sony Bravia 40+" HDTV. Will the iPad3 and the Digital AV adapter work with this HDTV? I have an available HDMI port and cable. What settings etc. must I have on the HDTV?

For the new iPad 3rd generation, does this support 1080p playback for movies? Currently on this page it says "movies play at up to 720p"
