I just purchased a 27 inc all in one mac 2.8ghz i5 with 4gb of memory if I buy the apple memory module 8g, would it be faster?

AnswerYes, buying this will basically increase your RAM aka memory. It will make your computer run faster, be able to multi task i.e. run more programs at once and will basically make your computer better. I have 4gb of memory and it does me justice, but don't let that influence your decision. Buy whatever you want but buying this will make your computer run faster. If this has not been answered clearly just type into Google something along the lines of 'what does more ram do to your computer' Hope this helps

I have an iMac with 4GB memory in the top two slots (2GB ea.), can i put 8GB (4GBea.) in the Bottom slots? will my iMac work properly?
I will have 12GB total memory,, 4GB in Top 8GB in Bottom.
