Can the IPOD dock charge both the Iphone 4 with Zagg invisable Shield all around, including sides, and also charge my small ipod at the same time? I

AnswerThe fit may be snug, but an iPhone 4 should still fit w/o a problem. As for the smaller iPod, each dock is specific to a specific product. While it may work, the only thing holding up the iPod would be the dock connector pins, which may cause damage down the road.

Could anyone suggest any good speakers that are compatible with the iPhone 4 Dock, please..??

AnswerLet me start off by saying i'm not an advocate for Bose, or blindly buy a product just because of a name. I buy what works for me and quality is a big deal, because I like purchases to last. I use a couple of different speakers. At work, I use the new Bose SoundLink wireless mobile speaker. It's a little pricey, but it MORE than does the job in an office or cubicle. It has the added benefit of easily being linked to your iPhone via Bluetooth or through an aux cord to the dock. The sound is extremely clear and has plenty of bass for a portable speaker. It travels easily from work to home to use in a kitchen or den if want good sound without firing up the home theater. The portability also makes the price tag a lot more worth while. At home I have a set of the Bose companion 5 multimedia computer speaker set. For me, they sounded as nice as anything out there. The volume controller has an aux jack right on it the plug up your iPhone dock and let you play your phone's music right through your pc. If your looking for something less pricey, may the Sonos or JBL iPod docks will do. For me, these two fulfill what I need and then some.

Is there a magnet in the dock that will silence email and text alerts?
Once the phone is in the dock, I do not hear email or text alerts. However, phone calls and alarms will play with no issues. I like this feature. Is there a magnet in the dock that tells the phone to silence these?

Can the iPhone be removed from the dock with one hand? No second hand necessary to help "unwedge" dock connector from inside iPhone?
With older iPod docks, the dock connector really gets firmly wedged up into the device. This requires a second hand to hold down the dock while pulling on the device to remove it. With the Blackberry dock I had the device just sort of sat on top and I could easily remove it with one hand. This is super nice when the dock/device sit on a nightstand and you want to be able to grab/remove it with one hand from bed.

Is there a dock that can be shared for the iPad and the iPhone? Not particularly at the same time, just simply have the ability to charge either.

AnswerI wondered the same since I would like to use one dock for both an iPad and iPhone. At first, it appeared that Apple's dock for the iPad would work but when an Apple store employee tried to dock an iPhone on the iPad dock we discovered the fit was poor. We had to wiggle the iPhone into position and pry it off afterwards.
Griffin makes a dual dock to charge an iPad and iPhone simultaneously but it is grotesquely large.- Answered by Ty C from Summerfield

AnswerNot sure, but if you can find an old iPhone 2G dock it will work fine. I just upgraded from the old 2G phone to iPhone 4 and it fits in the dock perfectly (without a bumper).
