I have a new MacBook Pro 15" and I travel to China often. How do I get a plug for the Chinese socket? Not the whole power supply but the cord?

AnswerThe Apple world travel kit doesn't work with all Chinese sockets. Some Chinese sockets will accept the US 2 prong plug (220V though). Other Chinese sockets will accept the Australian slanted 2 prong plug. Both of these are in the Apple world travel kit.
The trouble is that in many areas, the Chinese socket require a 3 prong plug that resembles the Australian slated 2 prong plug with an added 3rd prong for a ground. This type of socket works like the British or Hong Kong 3 prong sockets. The male ground plug must be slightly longer than the other two prongs. This longer ground prong is necessary to trip the protector that lets the other 2 male prongs enter the socket.
The Apple world travel kit doesn't provide an adapter for this type of socket. If that is the socket you need, you're better off using your US plug and buying an adapter in China.- Answered by Robert R from Fayetteville

Is a power adapter the same as a charger? My charger is always on green light but the battery stays at 0%..

AnswerSounds like your problem could be a bad battery. If you try a separate charger and the issue persists, then it is definitely the battery. If a new adapter resolves the issue, then you have your answer.

Apple 45W MagSafe Power adaptor states 110-240V, the plug itself states 125V. Is it safe to plug into 220V socket? Is power converter needed?
The cord's plug also states 125V.

AnswerYes, your regular household outlets are generally 110V in North America. However if you travel (use the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit) to lets say UK for example, their plugs are 220V. You just switch the plug on the end of the power adapter for a UK style plug and your power adapter is ready to be plugged in, No converters are needed and Yes it is safe. Most Apple products have this feature.
The cord can be used for 125V only then, The plugs are best to use when travelling outside of North America.

What are included in the 45W Magsafe Power adapter model A1374? Does it come with the 2 pin plug in?
I just purchased a new extra adapter and the 2pin plug is not included in the box although the picture in the box as well as the brochure inside are showing it. I specifically bought the adapter for the 2 pin plug. Please clarify.

Answerobviously yes, becoz in support noted that "using an adapter of higher wattage than the adapter that came with the computer will not cause the computer to charge more quickly or otherwise operate any differently than using the adapter that came with the computer."
