B&O Beosound 3200 compatibility with Airport Express
I wish to play iTunes from the PC in another room through my Bang & Olufsen Beosound 3200 system. (I already have a wifi router set up).
I'd like confirmation - before buying it - that the Airport Express will link to my B&O system; and also confirm if/which additional cable needs to be purchased.
Thanking you kindly in advance

AnswerAirport Express sound port is a 1/8 inch (mini) stereo jack. The output of which can be adapted to any type audio input. Bear in mind, airport express audio works from airplay (iTunes). So, as long as you are using iTunes as your default application for audio files, you should have no trouble. Airport express is also its' own wifi. But since you already have a wifi setup, you can just have the express join your existing network in the bridged mode. Whereby it just becomes an extension of your existing wifi.
I use mine typically as an extension. Where the primary media server (mac) is in one room, on occasion, I maybe would enjoy streaming something from iTunes, in my case it is usually a radio stream, or something on my server. iTunes, will direct the output from the normal sound card to the airport express audio port. Which then gives me audio to another set of preamp, amplifier and speakers located elsewhere in the house.
I have and additional express on patio so as to direct that same signal outside if I wish.
Hope this answers your question.- Answered by Bill B from Red Oak

how many airport express devices can I run from one base station extreme? I wish to extend into other parts of the house currently out of range.

AnswerAccording to Apple Support you can connect two express and one timecapsule to an airport extreme router. Any more and they will not support it if you have problems with your setup.

Answer
Yes. Set the express up in bridged mode. It then joins your wireless network and extends it and can provide bridged ethernet and USB plus stereo audio port for Airplay. Best $100 router out there. If you use it as a bridge, it does tend to run fairly warm. I set mine where it is close to some air flow. THe express runs warm compared to other wireless devices. Probably because it is so compact. Still, no issues in my experience. Works as expected. Cheers!

can you use it on an airplane
I just need wifi on my plane. Im a kid and I am always on my electronics. I want wifi on my i pad mini and phone . So does this give me wifi on the plane if not any recommendations?

AnswerShort answer, no.
If you were able to plug the airport express in, you'd still have no internet connection (which I assume you want), also, airlines have a list of approved devices which can be used during a flight as a couple of airlines are starting to roll out WiFi on their aircraft.- Answered by William Z

Best AnswerI just picked up a new Airport Express. I've been using it for the last few days as my only wireless router. My house is a 4 level backsplit about 1400 square ft.
The express is in the basement with my cable modem. I've had no signal strength issues at all. It seems to be covering my entire house with no issues.
I really love this thing. I've been streaming to my apple tv with no lags or glitches, and al of my other wireless devices are working perfectly. (xbox, wii, ipod, wireless printer, etc.) So far so good!!- Answered by Mike V from Ridgetown

Will Airport Express or Extreme improve my I-Phone reception? I am in a big building where ATT signal is extremely weak, cannot receive or make calls

AnswerIf you have internet already, you can contact AT&T and tell them that you have poor reception in your home. They offer a 3G MicroCell that routes your calls through your internet connection. We have poor reception at our home, and AT&T offered this to us for free. It has worked well enough for the past several years. We use the MicroCell with an airport Extreme.

Does AirPort Express Base Station support UPNP?

AnswerAlas, no. You'll need a separate machine or NAS to do media serving, and you'll have to do port forwarding manually unless your application also supports Apple's NAT-PMP (Skype, BitTorrent, but not many connected TVs and not XBox and not PSP).

AnswerAdding routers to your current cable setup will not increase your bill. You are just extending the range of the signal.

Compatability with HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One printer?
Is my HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier compatible with Airport Express? My wireless connection (through Airport Express) quit working yesterday and I got a message saying my HP Photosmart 3210 is not supported by Airport Express. I really like my printer, and this presents a problem for me. Would Airport Extreme be the answer?

What specific features does this offer that the previous Airport Express doesn't? I'm not yet 'sold'.
Aside from the broader range (2.4 or 5.0 GHz spectrum [which, let's be honest with each other, iPhone can't connect on 5.0 GHz]), what very specific features are added in this Airport Express in comparison to the last? Design wise, I actually liked the way the previous generation looked; it was so convenient to travel with. I'd just plug it directly into the wall next to the router with Internet.
Does this generation support separate Guest Networks, like the Airport Extreme and newer Time Capsule does? How does the range compare to the Airport Extreme? Is it just a scaled down Airport Extreme (which it seems is what it looks like)?- Asked by Michael F from Fair Lawn
