Once you've paid for the AirPort Express Station, is there an extra monthly charge for accessing the WiFi?
- Asked by Julia M from Miami

AnswerThe AirPort Express is a wireless router. Assuming that you already buy internet service from an internet service provider, such as Comcast XFINITY Time Warner, Verizon FIOS, etc., which is how you connected to ask this question, you'll attach their modem to the AirPort Express. When you use your wireless device, such as a MacBook or an iPad, it will connect through the AirPort Express to the modem and then out to the internet service. So more than likely, you won't pay any more than you're paying already, but you can check with your specific internet service provider. If you don't currently buy any internet service, and are asking this question while sitting in a Starbucks or library somewhere, then sure, once you've installed the AirPort Express at home, you'll still need to buy your own internet service from one of those providers, and they usually charge a flat fee per month, often cheaper if combined with cable TV and/or telephone services.
Hope that helps.- Answered by Larry S from Brookline

Can I hook the express up to my cable router that is also hooked up to my other D-Link wireless router? Would I be able to have two wifi routers on?
- Asked by Eric D from Bothell
- Jun 24, 2012
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerThat is the way we are running our network now. Although they are different brands. The cable router (Motorola) is hardwired to an Apple Airport Extreme, it in turn is wired to an airport express as well as wirelessly to a second airport extreme. The whole system runs just fine. The two airport extremes publish the same SSID whereas the airport express has a different name with the stereo attached to it.

Can I use the AirPort Express to connect to my existing wireless and then make my printer and music play wirelessly?
I already have a wireless router, and wired printer. I want to extend my wireless range, and I also want to be able to turn my wired printer into a wireless one, along with my wired speakers into wireless speakers. Is this possible?

What is the difference between the new Airport Express and the current Airport Extreme? They look the same except for the number of LAN ports.
- Asked by Brian C from Chicago
- Jun 12, 2012

Best AnswerThe Express has AirTunes while the Extreme and Time Capsule do not. But the Extreme can connect to Hard Drives for access across the network, has extra ethernet ports, and theoretically has a broader range.

Will there be any delay in the music sound between the speakers on my PC and airport connected speaker ?
- Asked by Kieran S
- Jun 18, 2012
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerWhen you use the "multiple speakers" function from iTunes the delay is recalculated so that there is no discrepancy between connected devices. I have played music simultaneously from my Mac and 2 Airport Expresses (old type) with no problem of different delays across the respective connected sound systems.

white against white?
I can't tell what this thing looks like. Apple, could you photograph pure white things against, maybe a blue, grey, pink background?
Does this plug directly into the wall like the old Express Base Stations, or does it have a cord.

AnswerOne of Apple's product photos (on the product page) shows the back panel of the unit. This is where you will see a figure-of-eight shaped power connector. Therefore, the answer to your question is that the unit is connected to the power supply via a power cable.
This is different to the original Airport Express products from a couple of years ago, which had an integrated power connector.- Answered by Dan L
