There's only one generation of Apple TV, and yes, it will work. It's functionally identical to the previous model except that it better matches the current product line and the battery is much easier to remove.

No. I, too, have the Belkin Power Dock. If you read the Apple ad closely, you'll notice that it says that the only dock it will work on is the iPod Universal Dock.

PowerBook G4 unfortunately does not have a built-in IR receiver, so as is, the Apple Remote is not compatible. You can purchase a USB Infrared receiver for your PBG4 so the Apple Remote can control things like iTunes, Front Row or Keynote.

you'll need the apple dock (available separately) in order to use it with the iphone, this connects to your stereo and enables you to control your music remotely
