AnswerTo use the Apple Remote with an iPod Classic, you must first place your iPod into an Apple Dock Connector. They come with an Apple Remote so if you plan on using this with your ipod just purchase the Apple Dock Connector.

does the iHome has and ir receiver and will it work with the apple remote
I got and iHome for christmas and i decided to buy the apple remote so while i was cleaning and stuff like that i could change the song. So im wondering if the apple remote will work with the iHome and if so can you please tell me how and, how would you know when it was synced with the iHome?

AnswerThe Apple Remote will only work with Apple Computers. It does not sync with other devices, so it will not be able to control your iHome. I would contact iHome because they might make remotes to control their devices, I know a few of their docks come with remotes.

Can you control the iPhone with this remote without a docking station?

AnswerNo, the iPhone doesn't have the IR receiver so you need an Apple dock (the universal one, not the iPhone one) to use it.

If i have two mac's will the remote control both?
- Asked by Andrew D from Brisbane

AnswerShort answer is yes. In fact if the macs you have are located in the same area, you may find the remote is trying to control both at the same time. My daughter finds her macbook aluminum popping up Front Row as I control AppleTV even though she is behind me in a large family room setting. Apple devices able to be controlled with a remote may be 'paired' to a specific remote control to prevent this problem, but of course in your case you lose the ability to use one remote for two devices. If the macs are in seperated rooms you should be fine.

Will this remote work with my bowers & wilkins zeppelin?
- Asked by Robin G
- Apr 20, 2010

AnswerThis depends on the model. Check the operating system on the aft starboard porthole by spinning the wheel right until you see "About this zeppelin" appear. Then post the horsepower, prop count, and operating system and we can determine whether your zeppelin will respond. Probably will. My 1939 B&W does.

will this work on a macbook pro 13"
I already have an apple remote for my existing macbook 13" (Bought Feb 08)
I will be ordering a new macbook pro soon, can I use my existing remote or will I need another one? especially since I won't be using them at the same time!- Asked by Jonathan B

AnswerYou wont need to buy a new remote if you already have one, the old one will work fine with your new Mac Pro.
If you did have both MacBooks running at the same time, the remote would to control them both at the same time.
Hope this helps.- Answered by Robert N
