Best AnswerI've tried it on Android 2.1, the phone found the keyboard, but the Android doesn't seem to have a correct connection wizard, which can perform the bluetooth authorization with the keyboard correctly, so it failed to connect.

I need basic directions for use of the wireless keyboard and the ipad. The directions for use were not in my package.
I purchased the new apple wireless bluetooth keyboard, MC 184LL/a but no directions or documentation. I need help with set up and what all the keys mean . especially the top row and relationship to music.

Best AnswerOpen the battey compartment and remove the plastic wrapping of the batteries. Then insert the batteries. Then open settings on your iPad, select "general" and then Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth on. Press the power button on the side of the keyboard until a green light appears on top. Select "Apple wireless keyboard" when it appears, then follow the prompts. The volume and play pause keys on top of the keyboard will work as as volume controls and play pause in the iPod app, YouTube etc. The eject key on the right opens the onscreen keyboard which is normally hidden when the wireless keyboard is connected.

Hi, can I use a wireless keyboard with an old mouse?
i have 10.4.10 and I'm thinking of buying your refurbished wireless keyboard. does the wireless keyboard have a USB port so that dinosaurs like me can use an old mouse (if indeed this is even possible), or is it necessary to purchase a magic mouse? Thanks.

Best Answerno, this model does not have any usb ports because that would require it be wired, and well, that defeats the whole purpose, doesn't it? you don't have to get a magic mouse, although I would recommend it, because you can just connect a regular wired mouse to the computer itself rather than the keyboard.

Can I get a Dvorak layout?
I'm after a keyboard with the Dvorak standard layout.
- Asked by James J

Best AnswerYou can readily switch to Dvorak under the Language aned Text tab in Systems Preferences. Use the "Input Source" tab and then scroll to choose the Dvorak options you prefer. An icon will appear on the top margin of your screen to show what your current choice is.
However, you must deal with the fact that the letters on the actual keys in front of you are not in Dvorak. How to be error free, especially when learning the Dvorak system?
When I switched to Dvorak three years ago. i was leery of moving the actual keys to new positions in case they snapped off.
I bought a Dvorak silicone keyboard cover from zCover because it presents all the actual keys in their Dvorak positions.
When my wife wants to switch to QWERTY she only has to whip it off and switch the keyboard layout icon on the screen that I mentioned earlier in this answer.
So it should be an easy switch, assuming zCover is producing their products for the new wireless Apple keyboard. There may of course be other manufacturers but this is the one I originally found.
It's great that Apple enables all language users to communicate and does it so easily.
