No. You have to use a standard stereo cable to connect it or use the USB cable that it comes with. It is only compatible with the iPod shuffle 3rd Gen.

When you connect your 3rd generation ipod in your audio port in the car does it continue to charge it as well to keep the charge up?
I know the 1st generation ipod did continue to charge the ipod and the 2nd generation didn't continue a charge with the port connected in the car. It only did this connected in the computer/electrical external ports only when I am at home.

Answer
Form my experiences, honestly it all depends on what kind of stereo your car has. The reason is because since they are not all the same they don't have the same functions. Some stereos have the iPod connection, but they can only play the music, and there are other stereos that not only play, but charge as well.

There is two that come in this package, one is a 45 mm, the other a 1,000. Yours came with a small one to save packaging. If you want the big one, buy this.

How I can charge my MacBook or iPod Touch on the airplane?
What kind of cable do I need to connect my iPod Touch to airplane armrest?
- Asked by Vera A from Elliot Lake

Answer
There is an option for the MacBook's which is called the 'Apple MagSafe Airline Adapter'. For the iPod touch, I am not so sure. Bear in mind though that the majority of aircraft power ports use 15 volts DC, so make sure that the power system you use has the ability to step down the voltage for your iPod - to avoid unnecessary damage to the internal components.
