Im needing to upgrade my Mac Pro v1,1 (2007). Will this card work on this version. Its not PCI-2, just PCI Express. Any help is greatly appreciated.
My ATI Radeon X1900 is so loud lately, want to get the jump on getting a new video card that is quieter.
Ive searched all over, and its pretty hard to find info on what video card I can upgrade my mac pro with.
Its 2007, MacPro1,1. 2.66 Dual-Core Intel Xeon. Bus speed is 1.33GHz
Here is my current ATI Radeon X1900 specs:
ATY,RadeonX1900:
Name: ATY,Alopias
Type: display
Driver Installed: Yes
Bus: PCI
Slot: Slot-1
Vendor ID: 0x1002
Device ID: 0x7249
Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1002
Subsystem ID: 0x7249
Revision ID: 0x0000
Link Width: x16
Link Speed: 2.5 GT/s
Much appreciate any help. I know that some people commented that it worked on 2007 models, but did not give any descriptions of if I needed PCI 2.- Asked by AD from Victoria

What's the problem with using DVI adapters for 2 Dell displays instead of two cards?
Someone wrote that he's using two of the cards, so "I would not have to use a mini display port-DVI adapter to run two Dell 3007WFP monitors." Why not use the adapter?
