The 1st answer is incorrect...... I bought this kit to be able to change the plug head on the 85W Mag Safe Power Adapter for my new MacBook Pro - 15". When I travel to any one of 25 countries I regularly visit throughout the world, it has worked just fine! The fact that there is a USB cable and power adapter for my iPhone in the box was an added bonus!

The plug with two round poles. (There are two plugs that match this description. Use the one with the larger poles. The one with the smaller poles that are angled slightly inward is the "europlug".)

What adapter do I use in cuba ?

Best Answer
Electricity in Cuba, the Cuban power outlets are suited for use with the US American flat pin type electrical plugs. In general the voltage in Havana is 110V AC 60Hz , but some newer hotels have 220 V AC 60 Hz too. Travellers from Europe need a plug adaptor to use their electrical equipment. It is recommended to use a surge protector for electronic apparatus, laptops, portable videoplayer etc. Cubans use surge protectors on every electrical equipment of value, TV set, video, fridge to protect them against the frequent electrical surges and spikes.

Which plug in the adapter kit is for continental Europe?

Best Answer
The plug with two round poles (smallish poles) that angle slightly inward. This is called the 'europlug'.
Note that the plug with the larger round poles will also work in some appliance outlets in France and Germany (it's for higher amperages, such as for a washing machine), and that plug is definitely used in Korea.- Answered by Cameron P from Lexington

I'm moving to England and I'm bringing my laptop is this product good for full time use? Do I also need a voltage converter?

Answer
No, the external power supply will work with both 60hz and 50hz electric cycles as well as voltage ranging from 100 - 240 volts. These specs are from the 45W Magsafe power supply. When traveling you will need either the plug adapter available from Apple or a plug adapter to plug in to the local electric outlet.

Does anyone know whether Russia uses the same plugs as Continental Europe?
I am going on a Russian river cruise. I know the ship is Russian, so I assume it has the same electrical outlets as they do ashore in Russia. Don't know whether the standard Continental European plugs are used in Russia or not.

The standard socket type in Russian Federation is TYPE F, which is used in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Portugal, Spain and most East European countries. Some Soviet-era sockets still feature narrow, outdated TYPE-C pins, but it's rather hard to find those nowadays - so rest assured, you're safe :)
